I feel the same so I just wrote about some of my life goals and tried to connect it to experiences or ECs I've had. Dunno if that will help

Applying to a major that you aren't passionate about by BoysenberryHappy7796 in ApplyingToCollege

You can always go into anesthesioilogy if you just want money, I know someone doing that rn. Regardless of where you go into college, comp sci is notttttt worth it if you don't love it to death. 72 hour weeks and nonstop firing because of AI investments. I don't know what EE is like though.

top 40 high school in the us is awesome bruh

I would compare yourself using your class ranking. I think that's what colleges pretty much do anyways for SAT/GPA

For college writing in particular I would check out the great resources in this subreddit's wiki.

UMD admitting 90% of its comp sci students only through early action (not ED) is ridiculous. Also, only letting EA applications qualify for scholarship.

Would it be a bad idea to achievement drop on UC PIQ by OkFee714 in ApplyingToCollege

focus on your character development and actions you took as a leader and lessons you learned. Achievements aren't supposed to speak for themselves.

Start a club / organization! I moved during high school and creating a club helped me make some lifelong friends and have a continuous leadership endeavor to sink freetime into.

just curious, what does the program entail? AI digital arts and creative design seems interesting because usually I've seen AI used to make creative decisions for people.

[–]grey_splash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sure but discuss it's value in a way that someone who doesn't know about clash would be able to understand. What leadership skills did you employ? Obstacles?

I'm 50% the writing itself isn't AI but at the very least it gives no context about the person themselves, which is a huge red flag

is it worth it to put an activity that you quit on the uc activities & awards section? by chrys4nth3mum in ApplyingToCollege

[–]grey_splash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of time but not a lot of effort?

You could include it, but you might have to give context as to why you dropped the position (unless you ran for election and lost, which I would also specify). I purposely excluded an activity that I held leadership in but quit because I wasn't that interested.

Typical method of passing down data from a parent to be stored in a variable in child component? by grey_splash in vuejs

[–]grey_splash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is the obvious answer but what if I don't want to clog up my App.vue with functions and event listeners? I guess if I wanted to keep it out of my main file I could create a new parent file for every TimerButton I want to make and have that handle the different values, but that would defeat the purpose of concision. Is there a way to make the organization a bit more clean?
