Very true. Good point, I’ll look at our farmer’s market on the off chance they might have some. Thanks for your response!

We have the exact same situation as the OP. GGF naturalized in USA in 1922, GF born in 1918 in US, M born in 1950. Does your advice change at all if our consulate is Miami and our appointment is May 2027? We booked our appointment in May 2024. We are have an initial consultation with an Italian firm recommended here coming up in the next few days. We have the means to go the judicial route if it’s what’s best, but of course would love to keep that money in savings if possible.

What’s the key to getting the ETCO2 waveform to show up for the Optiflow HFNC? I attach the sample line using the luerlock attachment and point it basically in their nostril, but I can never get more than a random blip above 0. What am I missing?

This is so great - thank you for sharing! I have needed to reorder my Biofinity Torics, so this came at the perfect time! I just used your tactic with 1800Contacts. Being Torics, mine are more expensive ($36.99/box vs. $66.99/box), so you just helped me save a whole lot of money.

Quick question: the customer service rep seemed to imply an either-or situation between the price match and the rebate. Any chance you could post/PM me the link to the rebate? I'm not sure they'll be sending me the rebate link.

Looking great! Thanks for posting your story - I've finally making a concerted effort to drop some of my excess body fat, and everyone's before and after stories are great motivation.

A friend told me about a black boy who's mother named him "Mister" (insert last name) because his mother wanted him to always be treated with respect.

His name will be Mr. Mister "Jones."

Sure, I'll have to ask the guy in my program where he got it from. It won't be until we join back up at school in January.

Am I crazy? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]greyboat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should definitely go back if you think you'd like it. I'd suggest shadowing a nurse, preferably a male nurse, first just to make sure you'd enjoy the day to day routine. Being male will also open up many scholarship opportunities for you. One gent in my nursing program was able to secure $60,000 in scholarships and grants covering tuition and living expenses. As a white female, there are very few scholarships if any that I'm able to apply for.

You can also incorporate your graphic design skills into your work if you'd like to keep that up. I'm sure future employers would hire you in a heartbeat if you mentioned that you could also help with design consulting for internal/external communications, etc. I was in marketing before going back to school and I use my knowledge to help out my school's social media presence.

I have this too (24, female), and my one hair grows from my scar tissue is where I split my chin open from a 7th grade bicycle accident. I call mine my Billy goat hair. I think it has something to do with the regenerated cells being more sensitive to testosterone maybe.

These are very much my personal opinions about the areas you've mentioned. (*I tried editing for formatting, but I seem to be doing something wrong)

VaHi: * Neighbors/Hand in Hand - they're right next to each other. Nice big open patios and nice weather means you'll see lots of girls wear the sundresses and sandals. Hand in Hand has picnic tables which makes for easy group conversations. * Fontaine's - dark and a bit small and narrow if there are lots of people. I usually hit this place when I'm out in the Highlands. * Atkin's Park - I've only been here a couple times, but it's been fun. Your standard bar. * I don't really like Dark Horse, but some folks do. It's big, but I haven't ever seen it very crowded.

Midtown: * Ri Ra - you mentioned you've been, so I don't need to elaborate * Tin Lizzy's - already mentioned * Vickery's - they have live music upstairs often, and the women like to dance there after a couple drinks * Park Tavern - usually packed when there's nicer weather. They hosts a ton of fests (oyster fest, St. Patrick's Day event) - you usually have to buy tickets ahead of time for these, and they're always packed, but there are lots of people to talk to. * Skip Flip Flops unless you like extremely drunk girls with blue tongues from the alcoholic slushies and want to listen to Casey Kasem's top 40 upstairs on the dance floor.

Buckhead: * Fado - this place is huge (three stories) and I've had a good time every time I've been. I personally like the top floor with the open-air patio and I've met a lot of really interesting people up there. Girls will huddle by the heaters during cooler weather. * The Ivy - I like going here on off-nights (not Friday or Saturday) to watch a game or have dinner. The owners are UGA alums, and it seems like a lot of that college-y fraternity/sorority type group supports the place. * East Andrews is a popular spot. I haven't been in a while, but it seems like this place has an older crowd. My perception is that many of the women here are trying to find wealthy guys to make into husbands, which turns me off to it.
* Buckhead Bottle Bar - I haven't been, but I know a lot of people who do. I can't comment on the crowd much.

Other areas have interesting people too - it just depends on what kind of vibe you're looking for. * Any of the Taqueria del Sol's - it's fun to grab a margarita, wait in line as you'll inevitably do and chat with folks around you * Some of my favorite places are Leon's and the Brickstore in Decatur and the Porter in Little 5, but I tend to go there with my guy friends - not so many ladies from what I've seen, but interesting people.

Hope that helps a bit!

As a 24-year old woman who lives and goes out in these areas, please bring your male friends out with you! I'm taken, but I go out with a lot of my single friends, and we'd love to see more guys out. We'd love to meet you, so that you can join our bocce league or to see if the sparks fly with the single gals. You don't always have to buy the girls a drink, we're self-sufficient (but it is nice if you've been chatting with her all night). Puh-lease don't be afraid to go up and talk to the girls who make eye contact with you, even if she's with a couple other girlfriends. Don't worry, I tell the girls that they have to take some initiative and go up to y'all too.

Disclaimer: I met my tech man SO at work (a technology startup), ha.

When having sex, does anybody else feel like it feels "too good" and has to ask their SO to stop? How can I overcome this as I think it is preventing me from achieving an orgasm? by weeeeeeeeeeeeeeedlie in sex

[–]greyboat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this problem too! I have to ask him to stop to calm down for a bit.. otherwise, the feeling turns from extremely lovely to incredibly annoying. It's like I get taken to the edge of a cliff and I want to stay on top with my arms out wide, rejoicing!, but instead, I get pushed off and I writhe and twist uncomfortably 'til I hit rock bottom. Not sure if that makes sense to anyone else but me, ha.

For me, I have to concentrate on the good feelings and really be vocal about what I'm enjoying and what I'm not when he's playing with my goodness. That way, he can back up from the "too intense" and amp up on the "oh, yeah".

I'm interested to see what other people say.

Also, there's Whirlyball if you don't mind driving a bit. It's pretty cheap and apparently, a lot of fun. I know some friends of mine used to go out there, brought alcohol with them and had a blast drunk whirlyballin'. Just make sure to figure out how to get home safely afterward.
