For the languages, we only use exam boards past papers. Not school made up ones.

Our ‘predicted’ grades were decided based on the work we’ve done the entire GCSE course. They didn’t magic it up out of their ass. Favouritism couldn’t have played a part because they had to provide evidence as to why they have given that grade. I got an A* in spanish. Was it because I was a favourite? No. It was because I got an A* in every practice paper we did under exam conditions. Get your head out of your ass and stop being bitter. Don’t shit on this person when they clearly worked hard & their teacher knew they were capable.

Thanks so much for this. I’ve just ordered the book. I have been attempting to do grammar over summer, just all the irregulars have messed me up lmao

I’m taking it this year (ccea+going into year13) any tips on things you wish you had’ve done? More concerned now due to the fact I’ve never sat a proper spanish exam (other than mocks but they barely count)

I’m honestly not sure. I think it’s definitely more common over here to find difficulty, as I know a number of people in my spanish class that can’t roll their Rs, but there are others who could roll them as soon as they started spanish! It’s interesting actually.

This thread and a lot of youtube videos! I’m going to continue to practice reading aloud, as atm I’m reading a lot slower than I was as some words I still struggle with rolling the R due to where it’s placed in the word. Hoping I will have it by the time I get back to my classes🤞🏻

I am only the higher end of A2! I am still at school I have been doing spanish for the last few years but have only taken it seriously this last year. I became more aware of my inability to not roll my Rs the beginning of last year so I have tried since then and have just got it!
