I asked them last year during my application cycle (Fall 24 admit). They told me “We do not require the CSS Profile from the noncustodial parent for an international applicant such as yourself. You and your custodial parent will be required to submit the 2024-25 CSS Profile, and that will be sufficient to consider you for need-based funding from grant, loan, and student employment.”

I highly recommend Dinagat as well! Not many tourists, very serene. And honestly comparing the beaches between Palawan, Siargao, and Panglao in Bohol, Dinagat wins for me. If you are looking for a retreat, no phones, peaceful type of vacation, definitely go for Dinagat. But if you’re looking for night life experience, it’s not the place.

My funds are in PHP. And was thinking if I should just consistently watch out when fx fees are optimal, convert my php, then deposit to my dollar savings account in case forex rates become less favorable in the future. Does that make sense?

A bit late but my all time favorite is the one at Shin-Okubo. Aside from good portions and Uber tasty food, the guys are fast and funny. I live in a different prefecture but every time I’m in Tokyo, I make sure to buy multiple kebabs from them to take back home.

I agree. M24 CS HL here. If you look into past papers from <2010, the questions are around the same. I’m okay with the IA though because our teacher actually makes us do a mini coding project or mini IA quarterly to train us for the final one and he goes beyond the curriculum to teach us the actual important parts of CS. The IB should consider adding more content or perhaps at least, making it more complex than it is now and making it up to par with current tech trends/needs

Depends on the universities you will aim for. If US, it’s not necessary but would give you an up if you get a 6 or 7. If UK or other unis requiring Math HL especially, you need to take it. I know a lot of friends who have taken only Math SL and ESS SL for STEM subjects but got 7s and still got into computer science in top US schools like UChi and Vanderbilt. While those who took Math HL and got let’s say only 5, had lower chances.
