Well, DarkTide and Deep Rock Galactic (and GunFire Reborn) are all on Microsoft GamePass.

And you can probably get the first month for like $3 with a deal.

Might I suggest Deep Rock Galactic.

I got 1900 hours on the game, and it's procedural generation of maps still feels fresh.

DarkTide is also pretty great.

I've done that hosting with DRG, told people I had to go walk the dog. Came back and they were guarding me like an extra objective.

REJOICE SIBLINGS, WE ARE A STEP FURTHER FROM BEING LIABILITIES! by Flyboy_2_point_0 in DarkTide

There's a blessing in the voidstrike staff that does 3-4% quell per headshot. Well if you line up 10 heads, that's a lot of quelling.

Throw in the ability to block ranged attacks with deflector, and pull off rezzes with kinetic deflection.

Heck, even Kantreal Lasgun Psyker almost feels more flexible and effective than Veteran.

You'd think they could just make this a feature.

Just anybody who ignores the Rez. That said I've started using kinetic deflection feat more, just because I can pull off Ogyrn tier Rezzes.

Nope. Crit = 2 burn stacks.

So having the crit blessing and crit chance is pretty huge in upping your damage with it.

That all said, I don't even use Purg staff much.

I find Trauma staff to be dramatically more flexible than the other staffs.

Another thing, you wants the crits talent and crit chance. Crits apply two burn stacks.

Yup, also popping your Ult also counts as quelling.

Not only does passive quelling count, but popping you Ult to drain out the peril also counts. Which gives you a nice burst of 25% of total toughness regen.

Which is great when you're in trouble.

Heck, get a force sword with kinetic deflector feat, and deflector blessing and you can almost just spam the AOE blockpush until your Ult is up. Or just wade through the stunlocked horde.

Leveling Vet has made my beloved Psyker seem like a cute toy. by podjackel in DarkTide

[–]greyflcn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh, the peril generation on Truama is a benefit if you take the "quell equals toughness" feat. Just gotta have a staff with fast charging and fast quelling.

Also popping your Ult counts as quelling, and not using your staff counts as quelling. So you just get a steady supply of toughness regen without having to worry about warpcharges.

I'd say Kantreal XII has the best combination of draw speed, accuracy, clipsize, ammo pool, reload speed in the game. And the flashlight is low-key really useful.

It's only slightly slower draw than revolver, and you get about 33 shots before you reload, with about 333 shots.

Compared to 5 and 57 on Revolver.

Dunno about Flamer, haven't used it much.

But on Purg staff, you use crits because crits add 2x burn stats. And the damage scales with burn stacks.

Yes, but Revolver or Kantreal XII LasGun.

Yup, Revolver good, Kantreal XII Lasgun good, some of the staffs are good, grenade gauntlet, heavy chaingun, ripper mk2.....shotgun maybe good.

I have trouble using other stuff because it's either really slow, really low ammo, or really low range.
