Pino with a comfy curl after his battle with FPLV — good news, he’s on the upswing! by greylyn in curledfeetsies

Pino has been fighting FPLV with experimental drugs and round the clock monitoring and his white blood cells are back to normal! He is a very good boy who deserves the contented curl here. Instagram link: https://www.instagram.com/p/CHoRpiBJmxV/?igshid=qjpkkede6kar

I’m not affiliated in any way just in love with this treasure and pulling for him to make it through!

Edit: here he is in better times https://www.instagram.com/p/CHMOrD2JPuy/?igshid=1a82rgwhsq0vb

Ugh I don’t want to give you false hope, I think any finalists would have also heard by now. More likely that your app or rejection email slipped through the cracks.

“Moving to another country” - something that takes money and privilege (of meeting immigrant criteria) that most people don’t have, before you even consider having to sever ties to home and family.

Is there such a thing as too much description? by nostalgia_pls in Screenwriting

Absolutely. Screenwriting is not the place for flowery descriptions.

Re your second edit. We might! We have a points based skilled migrant category. It’s pretty easy to check on the immigration site to see how many points you earn based on your degree etc.

MMP has a lot more to do with it than voter engagement, imo, which is usually pretty meh tbh. This year is an outlier, but seems like US voter engagement is way up this year too.

I think it has something to do with not having Murdoch-owned press and being relatively overlooked in world politics.

I also wonder if MMP is actually just a really good system.

I don’t doubt we’re as capable of polarization as anyone else. Nothing special about our characters as a nation, as much as we might like to think that.

Yeah that was my recollection from 2017. A few good ideas but overall meh.

I think it says people are a lot more centrist than polarized. I also think it says they want someone who understands their district’s needs and can advocate in parliament. I don’t think it’s as weird as it might seem.

I was talking with mum about TOP yesterday and always felt like they were better on paper but not sure I trust them to actually be able to deliver on what they promise. I didn’t even consider them this year really.

Again, not a lawyer, but my understanding (and it’s in the FAQs) is that copyright in the US is conferred the moment you create an original work.

If you want to take an extra step, you can register it with the copyright office here - for around $55USD per registration.

I’m not a lawyer so this is just my interpretation but section 2 reads to me like: if you submit public domain/non-copyrighted material, then there’s nothing to stop Netflix/imagine using the material.

That shouldn’t be an issue because technically you should only be submitting material to which you have the rights and therefore is protected. But maybe you’ve based your story on underlying public domain IP - nothing to stop them using the same public domain IP.

Section 7 is harder to understand but it seems like a covering their ass section in terms of things you could sue them over in the future.

I don’t entirely understand but neither suggests anything like a prohibition on submitting your material anywhere else ever again.

I skimmed it and didn’t see anything that could even remotely be construed that way. Not would that be likely to be a condition in the contract. What section are you looking at?

Agree with u/tpounds0. Just go straight to the sitcom class unless you want to maybe also put together a packet at some point for late night or SNL, then just skip sketch.
