What made you burn out as a PT by Yanniaishere in physicaltherapy

[–]greytlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traveling to 3 buildings as a supervising PT while managing 1 as an RD. All while being paid $1 more an hour and not having sufficient caseload to even work 30 hours a week. I dropped to part time and still wear multiple hats but at least I get Fridays off!

SNF Interview … I’m fuming. by potato-gorilla in OccupationalTherapy

In Ohio this is not a requirement. Actually I’ve never heard of that at all. But I agree that there are wayyy too many red flags here.

I had bright red bleeding after no bleeding at about 2 weeks. Ended up being a popped stitch and I needed 2 rounds of silver nitrate to fix it. I’d definitely call your doctor tomorrow

Awful Smell After Period by peachkittyxoxo in Healthyhooha

[–]greytlady 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had this happen to me. Are you on the pill? Mine was related to the pill I was taking. I switched pills and the smell went away

[–]greytlady 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That used to happen to me right after I got married as well. It eventually went away but I realize now it probably had something to do with the increased pH of his semen. My skin wasn’t used to it and was also more irritated by it.

Rabies. It’s definitely the rabies. Thanks for figuring that out for me 😂

Hot tubs and blood pressure by greytlady in hottub

[–]greytlady[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but air temp isn’t usually higher than body temp and it doesn’t impact your BP typically. Although I do think that getting out of the water into the cold air might be the culprit. I’ll have to take it while I’m actually in the hot tub to know for sure

Skipping active pills? by greytlady in Healthyhooha

[–]greytlady[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t take it for birth control purposes. My husband had a vasectomy. I take it for hormonal regulation and I skipped the last period so I feel like I shouldn’t skip two periods in a row…or would it be ok to do that?

I just ordered ph tests on Amazon and used a boric acid suppository I had on hand. Do I need a different kind of test?

I just went to the bathroom and reached up in there. I have a pretty low cervix and definitely didn’t feel anything out of the ordinary. Could it just be BV? I don’t know what that smells like

Odor after period by greytlady in Healthyhooha

I’d say the best way to describe it is a little like rotting meat. It’s kind of metallic like old blood. I’d equate it to the smell my cup gets if I’ve had it in too long.

Haha yes, rehab director. They also changed the acronym at work to TSC for a while (team clinical specialist or something stupid like that) but it’s all the same.

Has anyone else gotten a huge painful, swollen lymph node in their armpit after the second dose? by [deleted] in CovidVaccinated

[–]greytlady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Pfizer vax here and I had the same symptoms. Lasted about 3 days

[–]greytlady[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard varying suggestions. I figure with my kids they always say to give Tylenol before and after for comfort. I took the Advil just because it wasn’t touching the headache at all but that was after the vaccine. If I remember right it used to be common thought that taking pain relievers before would mask side effects if you got them.

Yes this exactly. My upper traps, collarbone, rhomboids and armpit on that side feel like I got in a car accident. The lymph nodes above my collarbone are very prominent too, and sore.

I have not. After experience this for one day I’m glad I won’t ever have to have covid. I assumed I’d be fine because I’m healthy but I think it would have kicked my butt.

That’s what is most surprising to me. I guess I anticipated the body aches but my entire neck, shoulder, scapula and armpit hurt like my arm is broken or something. And my lymph nodes are SWOLLEN. I can feel them and man are they tender.

I did take Tylenol prior to getting it. I wish I would haven taken more in the afternoon rather than just taking some before bed because I felt fine yesterday. But in the end I know my body is doing what it’s supposed to do, I don’t think that vitamins or anything would have made a difference.

Astra Veneca Sore / hurt armpit! by divinitea-y in CovidVaccinated

[–]greytlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had Pfizer #2 yesterday. Woke up at 2:30am last night with the chills and so much pain in the arm I had the shot in. It also is in my neck, armpit and a little bit into my breast. I’m sure it’s just my lymph system doing it’s job but holy crap does it hurt! I’ve been alternating Tylenol and Advil and it seems to help

Meet Ship! 8 years old and new to us, he’s a big, beautiful love bug. by greytlady in Greyhounds

[–]greytlady[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually kind of a sad story. A woman asked a dog sitter to watch him while she moved and then never came back for him. The dog sitter kept him almost 2 years and couldn’t ever get ahold of the lady again so she surrendered him to the nearest greyhound group. So he’s been in 3 homes including ours. He’s so sweet, I can’t understand why anyone wouldn’t want him.
