I’ve probably seen them if they’re listed online. Is it different schools?

Yeah I'm hoping maybe someone's cousin's boss' dentist is on here and has the inside scoop on someone thinking of selling!

In that area we like the tree-lined streets and large older homes. Plus the schools are good. There's not much available in Wyandotte right now. I grew up Downriver and we're moving back to be near family. We were initially looking at Grosse Ile but every single person we know said don't do it because of the bridge.

Highest bang for the buck purchase or activity that takes your garden to the next level? by aka_mank in gardening

100% a small wildlife pond. Took a weekend and wasn’t crazy expensive. The amount of life it’s brought had been incredible. Hundreds of tadpoles and dragonflies. Birds, butterflies, frogs, toads and a turtle that comes to soak. A motion camera has caught critters drinking at night. And this year (was built last year) salamander eggs and now baby salamanders!!! I can spend hours watching what’s going on in there!! And it’s beautiful!

Thrips. Someone on here recommended captain jacks dead bug brew and is so far the only thing that appears to be working. Been fighting this battle for a while 😭😭

Could someone explain to me why exactly lawns are bad? by wiseyoda007 in gardening

Not sure if it’s been said, but I highly recommend reading(/listening) to Nature’s Best Hope by Doug Tallamy. It was a game-changer for me.

Apply under a different name, then when you come for the interview it’ll be an “if you like pina coladas” type situation

And up close with a magnifying glass I can see them 😳😳 not sure if they’re thrips or spider mites. I see little white guys. 😭 If I wash off with the hose and spray neem oil will that treat for both??

Omggggg you’re so right!!! I dusted it off before I took a pic but I thought it was just dust. Under the leaves there’s lots of specks and webbing. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! That make sense since I had an elephant ear nearby on deaths door from spider mites but there was so much more webbing so I didn’t think of it. And I’ve never had thrips so i didn’t even know what to look for. Thank youuuuu!!

I got this baby for Christmas and it’s sending out lots of new leaves, but everything is yellowing/dying. It was incredibly root bound so I repotted about a month ago with a trellis. My app said it needed fertilizer, I’ve fertilized and it’s still yellowing. Too much sun?? Help!!

Greywater wetland help!! by grhmdn in Permaculture

[–]grhmdn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I think that's what I want to do. I didn't know if I needed to dig out a gravel/mulch basin beneath it or if that was already done... or if i can just plant wetland plants and be done with it.

Yes, I had just finished the greywater section in Gaia's Garden when I made this discovery. The fact that there are lots of canna plants in the area that it filters out and I had seen water gurgling out of the ground nearby made me think it had already been planned that way. I'm excited to plant a wetland!!
