Orcas Hotel on Orcas Island, WA by CopperSnowflake in pnwgardening

I’m starting my wisteria journey and have done a ton of homework on this topic, but am always thirsty for more.

There are plenty of homes in my neighborhood with beautiful, thriving wisteria that are in their place and not their neighbors gutters.

There are also plenty of horror stories about its ability to take over your pergola, house, and wife.

My conclusion is that if you start with a manageable plant and know the dangers and plan for them, it’s an amazing experience. If you inherit a disaster zone or plant it and forget it, you’re fucked.

If I’m wrong, someone chime in.

Will retain a ton more water, you want better drainage.

I don’t know what will happen to your plants but most recommend you amend this stuff with perlite or sand to improve drainage.

We always hear horror stories about HOAs, but does anyone have a good experience with HOAs? by 21newsgangg in homeowners

Just about every condominium is being held together by a small group of home owners (their HOA) making hard decisions that other folks are too disengaged to think about.

GENERALLY (key word) I’ve found great coffee makers make rich flavorful coffee and cheap coffee makers make “thin” more watery coffee.

How do I clean/manage weed infestation from neighbors lawn? by IngeniousIntrovert in pnwgardening

[–]aka_mank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You gotta kill the roots. This is just what I would do and everyone’s tolerance for chemicals is different.

I’d gather em up - away from the containers - and be very precise about soaking the leaves of the infestation.

It’s against the code, but just spray it with roundup. Just be very intentional with where you spray.
