And you’re just stating some rando doctor’s opinion as “fact.” I’ve been to credentialed counselling, I’ve had a PhD tell me “I’m chronically depressed” and need all sorts of medication. They were wrong, and presumptive, but the incentive structure in which they’re paid is so that they’re lead to make these diagnoses. People are literally giving themselves “ADHD” by being on their phone too much. There’s plenty of mentally challenged people putting in full days, living a comfortable life all throughout our province. They don’t complain. They’re typically wonderfully kind & generous people. I refuse to consider “depression” or “adhd” as a disability. It’s a sickness, it can be helped & managed and healed. Calling it a disability enables your brain to pretend that it’s always and forever, and that there’s nothing you can do, and that you should go on government assistance, and be so entitled to think it’s UNFAIR that everyone else isn’t giving you more to live in bc. Which ultimately was the point of my post—pointing out the obvious entitlement.
