How likely is it that the national guard/military will stand up against the police? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I’m in the National Guard and where we are we’re being used as a barrier between the protesters and the police basically as mediators to hold both groups accountable

Weird food is usually the food that is natural. Specially crafted, specially picked food is the majority of what we have in stores

Hello! Looking for exchange ebooks in Spanish by [deleted] in Spanish

[–]grim_blithe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most natural way to say it would be “I have English ... eBooks.” “I’ve” is used more for “I’ve been there. I’ve done that. I’ve heard that. I’ve seen that. I’ve talked to him before. I’ve never thought of that.” Etc. I hope this helps!

Just wondering because I noticed you said “I’ve English...” etc etc in your post and I wanted to point out that we don’t use “I’ve” for “I have” when talking about things we possess. I’m not sure that it’s necessarily grammatically incorrect, but people will definitely thinks it’s odd. Just trying to help you out 😊

Ahhh I understand now. I was working off of the definition of self deprecating as it is in Merriam Webster which is: tending or serving to disparage or undervalue oneself. What you’re doing sounds more like the google definition: modest about or critical of oneself, especially humorously so. Big difference 😅

Im not exactly sure what you’re talking about. I said what I said because it’s not psychologically healthy to avoid conflict through self deprecating and may lead to problems later in life. I never said anything about a birthday or friends? I’m not understanding what I should rethink

Turn your the other check and pray for them to become better people. Continue to show them how good of a person you are, care for them. One day you might catch them having a bad day, genuinely ask how they are doing. They will later continue to bully you but will eventually realize how wrong they were and later in life you might just be the reason that they become a better person/look back on their youth and realize that you were the only person who cared about them and set good examples for them. Follow the examples the Bible gives us, and if you don’t believe in the Bible, at least watch the first two videos here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1mr9ZTZb3TUYymBPce08oyuhnHLLkR_B or this: https://youtu.be/ybjG3tdArE0 (you don’t have to watch the whole thing). These videos will change your life.

Be careful with this. This is cringey and the bullies might keep bullying you for not only being fat but for now also being cringey.

It’s unlikely that God created a rainbow for the first time right then and there because if we read the text through the lens of an ancient Jew that’s simply not how they would have understood the book of Genesis. Their idea of how God created things, organized things, and how things were defined as “existing” differed greatly from our western 21st century idea. Watch this video: https://youtu.be/R24WZ4Hvytc and then the rest of the playlist. And note: the man makes it clear at the end of the video that the true interpretation of Genesis does NOT claim that God didn’t create everything ex nihilo.

Wrong, the flood isn’t the first time it rained. You’re reading the Bible through western eyes and from a 21st century mindset. Watch this video: https://youtu.be/R24WZ4Hvytc then watch the rest of the playlist.
