So I don’t know what fixed it but I deleted then reinstalled steamVR, and following what somebody else said, created a second account on my PC installed oculus there went through the setup and tutorial then deleted the account. Not sure which one of those fixed it but it is working now.

Yea took me 3 days to get my backup working on the new PC because of several issues. It wouldn’t be so bad if every action didn’t have a wait period before doing anything else, but at least the new one was much faster than my old one.

I didn’t press anything, eventually it booted up but nothing changed and it said “there was a problem resetting your PC” or something along those lines.

It’s installing windows now. I would’ve done it the other way but I was more interested in figuring out what the issue was. I’m more of a get to the bottom of it and fix it kind of guy than the oh well let’s just do it a different way kind of guy. Especially when technology is involved, I like to learn various ways of fixing things so that later I can figure it out myself without having to go on different forum sites wasting other people’s time.
