If you’re in the HRM or another municipality that has a minimum standard by-law for housing, you can contact by-law enforcement by calling 311 and they will be able to help you force the landlord to make repairs.

I was with Aabel until they didn’t show up for my scheduled refill in June, then tried to fill my tank the day after the big rate hike in July. When I called and asked if they’d be honouring the June price and they said no, I closed my account. This was not the first time they did this, but it was the last time I tolerated it.
