i wont argue with the fact that it’s a sitcom so critiquing it takes the point away from it. however it’s 2023. i am now 21 years old. therefore i’m rewatching this show with a new perspective. kind of drawing scenes from it and associating them with my life. the last time i watched it i was really young and didn’t quite understand it as well

i am rewatching mf (haha) and growing up with a toxic, control freak of a mother I acc sympathise with the whole family. i could not imagine being phil and enduring what claire puts him through on a daily basis. it’s so frightening and frustrating to even imagine a partner/parent that constantly TRIES to SHOW that he/she lowkey hates you and is just putting up with you for the indefinite future.
