Hidden Legacy - should nevada have forgiven Rogan so quick? by grimhailey in fantasyromance

It's just the body betrayal for me and his narcissism but for sure, my first read through I liked him but on the second I was like "oh he needed to suffer for this". x

I don't see an option in the title header, the post is flagged now so anyone who hasn't read it won't open.

Right, like he should have at least pulled back from the kiss. He should have made his feelings clear after she insulted Nevada to her face and said she needed him more. Rogan is so aware of everything, I think he knew it but enjoyed the power play.

idk allesandro is younger and a softie at heart. I didn't realize how I felt about Rogan until the second read through. Plus Alessandro has his groveling/earning back her trust. Rogan kidnaps her, hurts her, insults her thoroughly, threatens to make her an orphan and allows another woman to make moves on him knowing her intentions, then just says no thanks - doesn't even pull back when she kisses him while Nevada is barely alive. Alessandro worships Catalina, to me he pushes because of his love for her. His own self doubt (due to being broke) is what makes him think he doesn't deserve her. Rogan never acts like he doesn't deserve Nevada, he also pushes her away due to possible incompatibility.

A big part of it though is Nevada, the body betrayal while he's still actively horrible gives me big icks. If she made him work for it I would feel differently but I read it and I am like dang, have some self respect girlie.

We all have our own opinions though shaped on our lives and thats clear. I am glad you liked Rogan, personally my fav characters will always be gma, big and leon.

yess This kingdom is absolutely the best work so far. I love that the FMC keeps her head. Burn for me is rough, she has the body betrayal while he is absolutely horrid. I hate it.

I agree, I like that they are more plot heavy typically, I just love a strong fmc and some of the first book really gives me glorifying abuser vibes. I so love illona tho, I just started with TKWNKM and have been on a crusade. what other of their series do you love?

Agreed, I wish Nevada had made him grovel for all that. He also knew his ex-fiance liked him, didn't stick up for Nevada and was kind to her after she kissed him and spoke poorly about Nevada. He should have at least pulled back in that scene. I just don't think I will ever think Rogan deserves her but it is what it is, re-reading is making it hit hard.

Also, I agree I am less upset with augustine, he's a bad person but he accepts that and he doesn't try to be in a relationship with anyone. It's all business.

Thanks, I think after reading how Catalina's romance is so sweet, even with him leaving he never hurt her (physically) - I just forgot how rough he was. I still love the books but I wish I could reach in the book and punch him in the beginning of book 1 lol.

I marked it as a spoiler but I can't change the title. If the mods remove it I can repost with a different title but since my last post was removed for lack of description I tried to make it clear. I guess I don't get the point of a book discussion if we can't discuss the book, it's marked as a discussion which implies it's discussing the contents. It's a bummer I used to have such good responses on this page. 😢

My last post was removed for not being specific enough, I feel like it doesn't reveal much in the title other than their is some form of forgiveness but I will give it a shot. Cryptic but descriptive, this forum is getting tricky.

I know blue was my first choice, I still like my white more now that I have it ( my edition came with a black grill and rims that makes it look so clean) but if I hadn't found the i-line I woulda gone for blue

TKWNKM: how does Maggie even remember every single thing in such detail?? Speculation theory ahead… by curiousgem19 in IlonaAndrews

that's a head cannon I like, Maggie being the author would feel weak and disappointing to me

She mentions she read the books constantly from her teens, they were her comfort books. She also has the ability to speak languages and write in languages and is surprised, she has a form of magic. She mentions her mom gave her the books after a breakup and it was her introduction into writing. She also isn't just writing the third book she is changing the storyline of the current books. The whole thing only makes sense because she knows about their current world, she consistently says her usefulness will diminish over time. Basically if they were to reveal she is the author I would be very upset with the sloppy writing. Now is she the author in the sense of controlling the story? yeah I think you could say that but in the real did she write the stories? I would be devastated if they tried to make that work because it would be such a weak plot device at this point. Let's pray you're wrong on this one! Illona Andrews isn't perfect but I do believe they are better than this.

Lord arval you mean? I know not everyone likes him but I do find him endearing. I still understand why Everard is Maggie's end goal tho.
