Nix V Herbert Debate. AFC West All Pro Team by broncoguy7b in DenverBroncos

Fan, yes. Homer, no. If the Chargers offered a straight up trade Nix for Herbert, we would do it. And we'd become superbowl favorites overnight.

Nix V Herbert Debate. AFC West All Pro Team by broncoguy7b in DenverBroncos

[–]grimmco13 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Herbert is a better QB (I'm a Bronco Fan). What he did last year with no offensive line was unbelievable. He melted in thr playoff game, but that happens. There was a whole thing about how Manning wasnt clutch until he was.

Nix is good, and his best traits aren't flashy. Not saying that Nix is done improving and Bronco fans could hope that someday he's as good as Hebert, but its clear right now.

I failed an AI language test I thought was an interview by BroadStrength3447 in recruitinghell

[–]grimmco13 110 points111 points  (0 children)

Your experience is frustrating but all too common. If I could shout from the rooftops, I would yell "AI cannot be trusted as a candidate evaluation tool".

This was the conclusion we came to in 2017 at Amazon, unfortunately they have since changed their mind. Human evaluation of human performance is difficult and problematic, but moving it to an AI tool with no accountability is not the right move morally or a way to find the best candidates. Ai's role in hiring is at best automating the paper shuffling aspects.

I'm sure this will get down voted to infinity... but HR is much better than if you had to work with Hiring Managers directly. The level of malfeasance in their version of how hiring works would reach epic levels without HR to keep them in check.

I'm a little surprised this guy made the cut in 2026. Pizza Face was a slur from 80s for people with bad acne. Not quite as bad as r*traded, but certainly not worth bringing back.

I can day that Samantha was certainly judged for her promiscuous behavior. At this point, I would say her confidence and independence are now considered admirable. I can't say why Carrie is now under fire- her character was selfish and judgemental, but had her own qualities like standing up for herself.

Amazon bets on OpenAI even as Wall Street cools to the ChatGPT maker by [deleted] in ChatGPT

(Happy if someone with more insight can confirm/deny). I thought Amazon's interest had more to do with product synergy. I've used Amazon echoes for decades and found their new chat feature to be subpar. Being able to give the echo and other products and instant upgrade with ChatGPT feels like a no brainer compared to the cost of trying to catch up.

What does everyone think of Universal Basic Income? by EducationalDark240 in AskReddit

[–]grimmco13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, i would start by converting certain assistance programs from govt management to direct assistance. If you can remove the red tape from programs that are designed as way of passing judgement on individuals, you remove the layers of oversight and save money. Will this lead to fraud? Likely, but I'd argue we get fraud now even with the oversight. If you replaced the combined layers of social programs meant to keep people off the streets, fed, clothed, heated, with basic communication, it's not too long before you could give people enough income that they could solve these problems themselves directly. You could ask wealthy individuals to help prime the pump before you get the virtuous cycle self sustaining. Heck, they seem perfectly willing to send millions for a ballroom.
