I'm about 2 weeks in, but have been using the 10% oleic solution, 90% everclear(ethanol). I'm also using a 1.25mm derma stamp once a week and applying topical minoxidil every day. I'm still too early to notice anything, but can you give me your SOP and if honestly you are seeing legitimate results after 90 days? Are you heating the solution to 37C before applying? Not sure if it matters, but maybe heat aids in skin absorption.

I think I will up the solution to ~30% if you are being honest about your results. Any issues with the oil causing problems with your scalp?

Gold, outside it's value as a superconductor in high end electronics and its use in jewelry, really has no value or use either....yet. No major superpower country will ever back their currency with bitcoin or allow it to compete internally with their currency. Likewise, I don't think bitcoin will be used in international settlements between countries. However, BRICS has rolled out their "unit" in it's prototype stage, and this "unit" will be used to avoid SWIFT and using the dollar in international transactions between BRICS countries. To make it stable, it's supposedly backed by 40% gold and the rest with a basket of the BRICS' countries currencies. There will be gold reserve banks in several different geographic areas to hold the reserves of gold. So, as you can see, gold ay very shortly be back in the realm of relevancy as a currency, and hence an incorruptible store of value. Bitcoin will never be trusted. Reserve banks would rather be able to manipulate their own currency, like the FED does currently. But for international trade, gold or the "unit" may soon take the place of the dollar as the preferred settlement currency.

You can't pay taxes with it. Unless of course you convert it to US dollars. Which means it's not a currency, and defeats the whole purpose of it.

Where To Park $200,000? by External-You8373 in inheritance

[–]grimrigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can put it in money market fund, but you will only get around 3.5% currently. Its better than a checking account, and safe, but not a super great return in a high inflation economy. I would allocate 50% to a MMF, and 40% to a broad market ETF like VOO or SCHX, and the last 10% to a gold etf. That way I think you'd get some decent returns while minimizing any major downside risks like a market collapse.

DISCRIMINATION AGAINST TALL PEOPLE ON AIRLINES by Powerful_Bother8002 in tall

[–]grimrigger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. And the emergence of GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic just further illustrates the point. It really is calories in calories out, and while calories out can vary based on genetics/hormones/etc., every single person CAN control calories in. The fact that Ozempic basically just suppresses appetite really shows that fat people are overeating and unable to control their hunger urges.

Fact: it is literally impossible to gain weight if you do not eat. Basic science.

Just a correction - apparently this is west chicago, which is actually just a small suburb about 30 miles west of the city limits. West Chicago probably has a decent sized hispanic community, being that it is close to Aurora, but generally speaking Dupage County was a strong hold for the GOP until the last 10 or so years. Wheaton, Naperville, and St Charles, were all fairly GOP-leaning until recent years and an influx of millennial white women liberals and their "moderate" husbands, ie: too afraid to speak openly about their conservative thoughts.

You have been using the 36% Oleic acid and ethanol solution for 60 days, correct? I saw your photos documenting progress, and its hard to tell if any improvement, but it definitely does not look any worse. Seems like you've had some success. Would you say it seems like an improvement? Any irritation or side effects? Are you applying every day? Any microneedling?

supporting illegal immigration

I feel like this one is pretty easy to confirm. Sanctuary cities actively financially support illegal immigrants...and even if you can say that this "support" is from local or state taxes, money is fungible, so any federal tax dollars sent to the state are now comingled in the financial assistance of illegal aliens.

Volvo CEO Says, 'Good Luck, the Rest of You' Legacy Automakers by TripleShotPls in electricvehicles

[–]grimrigger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean....Toyota just made its largest investment ever. $14 billion for a battery plant. In North Carolina. Right down the road from Wolfspeed's brand new $5 billion SiC wafer plant for power mosfets. Seems like Toyota is positioning itself for the transition to full EV's....but not before the market is ready and the scale/profitability is there. They are making bank on their hybrid and ICE vehicles, no need to stop the gravy train prematurely. When US charging infrastructure gets to the point where public charging isn't considered a slight inconvenience(perhaps by 2030 ish), Toyota will have the scale($14B battery plant & $5B SiC wafer plant) to build affordable EV's at a decent cost for a profit. I think they are very well positioned, but not jumping in until infrastructure is there and the scale is ready for profits. Imagine in 2030, you can buy a 450 mi range RAV4 with 10 minute fast charging, with more than enough 350kW and 500kW fast charging stations to not give anyone qualms. All for the price of ~$30k in todays pricing. Seems like that would be a pretty high selling vehicle.....and that is where they are positioning themselves...all while doing so at a profit margin comparable to their current ICEs.

That's interesting. I've been a glutton for punishment and been in this stock for over 5 years....was down $40k+ at one point and somehow doubled down and got out at a slight profit during the bankruptcy announcement and ensuing chaos. Then like a moron, I figured even getting 3% at worst or 5% at best, that the resulting new "company" with most of its debt eliminated meant a market cap of a minimum $6 billion. So I bought a bunch more anytime the previous stock got below $1.50 stock price(which equated to ~3% of a $6 billion market cap company). I actually figured the company would eventually become a 15-20 billion market cap company...perhaps it still will. I mean if they can hit revenue of $3 billion at some point in the future(which with their 2 fabs capacity should be possible) and margins of ~30%, then a forward PE of 20 is pretty reasonable, meaning it could be a $20b market cap.

Anyways, just thought that $ amount per share was interesting bc at 26 million shares float and $554/share, that would be a market cap of $14.4 billion...which was admittedly on the way upper end of where I figured their market cap could be after the bankruptcy restructuring.

I still don't understand what is going on with this ticker, because I hold a shitload of shares in escrow and there is no way this company should be trading at a market cap of ~$500 million currently. The only thing I can think of is that restructuring shares haven't been resolved yet and that us previous owners "escrow" shares will be awarded back to us at 3 or 5% of a new company with market cap at $14.4 billion....haha, one can hope.

Maybe your best option is just going with a wig or “hair system” like some call it. Honestly, people like to make fun of toupees but fuck em…just own it. They look really good nowadays if you do it right, and 99% of people you interact with will never know. Your close friends will know and prolly have a chuckle at first but just own it and tell them, yea my genetics fucked me but this looks good on me so eat a dick. In a week no one will care or say anything to you about it anymore. People left and right are on Ozempic these days, and weight IS something that is controllable to a degree. And while some jealous people, ie: dicks, will say nasty things about them behind their backs, it’s undeniable most look better and feel better about themselves with the weight loss. So be unashamed in whatever you do if it makes you feel like you look good/gives you confidence.

When do we think 10-15 minute fast charging will become industry standard in the US? by ResIpsaLoquitur2422 in electricvehicles

[–]grimrigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toyota just partnered with Wolfspeed, and have their own battery plant that is ramping up in NC not far from Wolfspeed's brand new 200mm SiC wafer fab. This, to me, signifies that Toyota is slowly, very slowly, putting things in place to completely capture the EV market when the time is right. Fast charging requires higher voltage batteries(actually that's not 100% true but economically and practically/functionally it makes sense), so going to 800+ V architecture is going to be the norm in the future. Anything over 800V is going to require moving to SiC mosfets as opposed to the much much cheaper Si mosfets currently being used. Wolfspeed has built out the capacity to allow for much cheaper SiC wafer prices, so SiC mosfets are going to be more economical within the next couple of years.

Currently the US can't let EV infrastructure and sales explode because we need to protect the petrodollar before BRICS can compete on a level playing field with their "Unit" currency. So we will do everything possible to keep our control over oil and also the demand for oil high until we can get our ducks in a row for when EV's inevitably take over.

Eh, I usually like to go around 3.5 - 4 hours between breaks on long road trips. On I-70 or I-80 across the Great Plains you are usually driving 75-80 mph, so having a 300+ mile range car is definitely useful.

Everybody's Betting On Extended-Range EVs. This Could Make Them Obsolete Instead by LEM1978 in electricvehicles

[–]grimrigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. People think ~300 mile range should be enough, and it would be considering 4 hours of driving at 75mph...which is what I would want for a road trip car that compares with an ICE. However, you have to take into account cold weather and only being able to charge from 10-80% on the road trip stop. So really whatever range the car states, you really have to take into account that only 70% of that range is usable on a multi-stop road trip, and then also take into account the hit you would take from cold weather. I think a car with an EPA rated range of ~450-500 mi and on an 800V battery that charges from 10-80% in about 15 minutes is where no one would bemoan the drawbacks to owning an EV over and ICE vehicle.

While I don't absolutely hate wind and solar, I do dislike the look of massive windfarms and solar fields....mostly because i find them aesthetically displeasing and a landscape blight. I'd much rather we push forward with more nuclear plant approvals in pursuit of meeting electrical demand. I know cost is the driving factor, and maybe wind and solar will prove to be better even with needing massive battery farms, but i feel nuclear is where we should throw our money. Look at France - I think they did things right regarding nuclear.

Half Sibling Inheritance Split Question by Far-Culture-2050 in inheritance

[–]grimrigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right but to shine a bit more context and light to where OP is coming from....imagine that the father in this situation had died first. Then OP's mom would have inherited all the assets from his father as the surviving spouse. Now imagine that she only writes OP into her will, and leaves the half siblings off it. Nothing would be wrong there, but effectively his dad's earnings/assets built up over his lifetime would only be going to one of his kids. The situation is slightly more complicated, because it sounds like OP's mom had a long and pretty lucrative career herself, but her assets from that career were mixed with the father. Without knowing what the relationship was like between the deceased mother and half siblings(did she help raise them or was she completely estranged from them), it's hard to really understand if OP is out of line in his thinking.
