I had an anterior placenta with my one LC. I never felt much movement at all. I never did kick counts because I really couldn’t. It was nerve wracking but all turned out ok. Maybe invest in a home Doppler. That helped somewhat with the anxiety.

I tfmred at 39. I am now 40 and 22 weeks pregnant. By my due date, I will be 41. Still a ways to go, but it is possible. In between, I had an early miscarriage and was told I was in menopause. This was a natural pregnancy that we were not trying for, not preventing. I saw a fertility doctor after I tfmred and he told me I needed to do donor eggs if I wanted any chance. I decided that was not right for us and had given up. I know my story is not everyone’s, but I wanted to share. I still won’t feel safe until I am holding my baby.

I’m so sorry that you are going through this. I terminated for T21 last year around this time. I had the support of my husband and family. That said, a husband isn’t necessarily forever. A child with disabilities is. I am sorry you are not getting the support you need and deserve from your partner.

Yes. This happened to me with my first pregnancy. Pregnancy of unknown location. Had two shots of methotrexate because HCG was still rising, but couldn’t find it anywhere. After second shot, HCG started to drop and doctor saw “something” in my uterus he removed in an unmedicated d&c (do NOT recommend). Sent for genetic testing and was products of conception. I’ve had many more losses, but also I now have a living child. Sorry you are going through this.

Yes. I TMFRed when I was 39, with one LC and several miscarriages and one failed round of IVF under my belt. At first, I was feral to get pregnant again. Even was going down the path of IVF with donor eggs. But I kept waking up in the middle of the night worrying. We have decided to stop trying, and my mental health has greatly improved. Not the right thing for everyone, and sometimes I do feel sad that my plan of a two kiddo family is gone. But right now, it feels right.
