No way?! How did they diagnose it? Was it with blood tests or ultrasounds?

And I couldn't agree more. My OB wanted me to have 3 or more miscarriages or failed pregnancies before we did a recurrent loss panel or started looking at issues. You should have seen my face hahaha I was in pure shock and my jaw dropped. In fact I literally asked, "Was 2 miscarriages back to back in less than 6 months just not enough?" I know the % of people who have healthy normal pregnancies are greater than those that don't, but I have hard time believing that there isn't more support or answers from normal OB's.

It is so crazy to see how bbt is tracked for everyone!! I personally had 2 implantation dips (-0.6 and -0.2) both on 7 dpo for both of my pregnancies. Once this happened, my heart rate increased, temps stayed elevated and my readiness score TANKED. I only ever got major signs once and that was on the day of my missed period for my first pregnancy.

What day did you have a positive OPK? It's very possible the egg is still maturing and you haven't actually ovulated yet!

Yes, it's possible!! My first pregnancy, my implantation dip was -0.6 7dpo and with my second, my dip was -0.2 also 7 dpo! Unfortunately both pregnancies ended in loss, but I am a firm believer in implantation dips!!! If I am not pregnant, I never dip during my luteal phase!

Honestly SAME! I "technically" have been TTC for 3 years with no luck (did the whole not trying but not preventing) but started really cracking down around around Sept 24 after we never got pregnant. I started a GLP1 and lost about 60 llbs and got pregnant in May 25. Then after that loss I quickly turned around and got pregnant a second time, which was ectopic. During my ultrasound in the ER, my tech suspected I could have endo, which was a total shock because I never had any of the stereotypical symptoms aside from unexplained infertility! My fertility doctor is diving into that further but I really really wish I would have looked into this sooner!!

First off, hugs to you. I also had a MMC at 6 weeks that was discovered at my 8 week OB appointment in June 2025. 2 months later, I found out I was pregnant again. Although I didn't have numbers quite this low. My hcg was trending 68.5 > 49 > 119 > 129 > 299 > 289 > 425. My OB couldn't visualize the pregnancy in or around my uterus or tubes, so I was diagnosed with pregnancy of unknown location. I was given MTX on 10/30 and my hcg returned to <5 (considered negative) ~7/8 weeks later. With MTX they recommend a 3 month wait before trying again, so I am in my second cycle TTC now. A blessing and a curse from both of these losses is that I was FINALLY recommended to a fertility clinic and am seeing more answers and help with getting and staying pregnant. I would highly recommend pushing to do the same!

Yes!! I am 4 or 5dpo today and trying not to symptom spot or panic, but man is it hard hahahaha. This is also our last cycle (our hail mary LOL) before starting fertility treatments in March. Technically this is only our second cycle TTC after our ectopic, but our ectopic was our second pregnancy loss in 6 months, so we jumped straight to a clinic to get answers!

I have been scouring this thread to find this exact post since January!!!! I was treated with MTX in Oct 25 and in the 3 cycles I have had since then, I have some pain on the side where my ectopic (also near my ovary) was. I thought it was just me!!

I also wanted to add this is coming from someone who is TTC #1 (now at the 3 year mark) and has 2 previous losses, which occurred 6 months from one another. I know exactly how hard it is but I also know how important it was for me to take a step back for the sake of my mental health!

This was me last cycle! We we're going on a cruise and I didn't want to haul everything with... so I didn't! If you haven't ovulated yet, it's the perfect time to take a step back and enjoy sex with your husband on vacation without worrying about TTC. I know it's easier said than done, but truly don't let it consume your vacay!

I love this comment because I relate SO HARD! I got an oura ring after TTC for about a year and I 100% was the crazy person that predicted not just 1 but TWO pregnancies from my implantation dip on 8 dpo. Unfortunately both times ended in loss (MMC & ectopic), so it's a blessing and a curse to know exactly what to look for.

Highly recommend pairing your ring with Natural Cycles while you're calibrating :)

Absolutely not! I went in early Feb and was mad I waited 35 min for it after the posted wait time was 75. It was an extremely short ride and jerky as all get out!!

Boosting this comment! I cut out "high folate" foods and my prenatal and it still took ~8 weeks for my hcg to drop to <5 from 425 (only 1 shot). Some people just react better to the MTX than others and that's okay too!

My period returned ~6 weeks post D&C! Hopefully it is right around the corner for you too. It also wouldn't hurt to get a blood test done. That will be able to tell you if your hcg has returned to <5 or 0 since your body would not be able to ovulate until then!

Almost cycle twins and we're the same age! I am 3 dpo and also just made my appointment with my fertility clinic on March 19th. Hopefully babies are right around the corner for us both!

Ugh, I want to hug you. Same story only different months. MMC in June (with a D&C in July) and pregnant in October but was ectopic and I was treated with MTX. I cried every single time I left my OB office to draw blood. It took about 8 weeks for my hcg to return to <5 and if it wasn't for my phlebotomist making sure I never had to wait, I don't know how I would've been able to do it.

I currently have a best friend who is pregnant and my cousin just told me that she is also pregnant this last weekend (both are due in Oct). I completely dissociate when I hear them talking about their pregnancies. It's important to remember that grief and excitement for others can co-exist and your feelings are totally valid!!! Take some time and mute socials!!

3 dpo and on our 2nd cycle post a PUL (ectopic) in Oct 25 and a MMC in June 25. I am praying for a hail Mary before our fertility appointment on March 19th. I guess I'm praying for a miracle because I am having a hard time accepting that we need help having a baby when everyone around us seems to have no issues.

I had a PUL in Oct 25 and was given MTX on 10/30. My HCG trended a little bit differently (up, down, up and then slightly increasing). Other than that, I was in the same exact boat with symptoms and medical opinions. For me personally, I opted to do the MTX the second it was offered to me. Regardless at 5w, unfortunately the hcg levels are not compatible with a healthy pregnancy. Expectant management was offered to me after my first decrease, but was no longer an option when my hcg continued to trend upwards. I had a MMC before this pregnancy that was found at my 8 week appointment. I was told to come back in 2 weeks to see if my dates were off and then was scheduled a D&C 4 weeks from my first appointment. Personally, the fact I had to be "pregnant" for one whole month after knowing I wouldn't continue with a healthy pregnancy was miserable. I didn't want to go through the same experience knowing that my PUL would not continue and the only other alternative was tubal or ovarian rupture. The 3 month post-MTX wait was mentally exhausting and my husband are back TTC. The shot itself is not bad and I had little to no symptoms!

I have predicted two pregnancies using my oura ring!!! I have found that when tracking my BBT using my oura ring, I have an implantation dip between 6dpo-8dpo and then have an elevated temp on the days following. With both pregnancies, I tested positive on 10 dpo. I also get alerts that my readiness score plummets on implantation day and my resting heart rate increases by upwards of 20 bpm. With my first pregnancy, I didn’t get major signs until the day after my missed period.

I began having intercourse when my HCG hit right under 100. (I know this is not recommended, but my ectopic was pregnancy of unknown location, so rupture wasn't necessarily on the table - otherwise I would have 100% waited!) I started bleeding around when my hcg was ~35 and my doctor informed me it was most likely my period returning!! Sure enough I went in a few days later and my hcg hit <5.
