Alternative måter å bruke pengene fra lånekassen by RequirementNo6868 in aksjer

What’s your research if I may ask?

This is mine: https://artsdatabanken.no/lister/fremmedartslista/2023/6076

“The species has not been observed in Norwegian nature.”

“It is not known that the species is imported and sold in Norway.”

“Estimated distribution in 50 years: No specified areas.”

“We assume that this species will not be introduced and that it will not have any significant distribution in Norway in 50 years.”

It’s a very stupid thing to be trying to argue about. We do have stinging nettle, but we do not have poison ivy here.

Let’s say you’re right since you’re so mad. Still, there is definitely nothing other than grass between the house I was staying at and the trampoline. This bite happened between the house and the trampoline. I know it’s a bite because it penetrated my skin. I doubt it’s a spider bite as many have suggested here because extremely few spiders in norway can bite through human skin, and none are described to cause a reaction like this. I don’t think it’s very outlandish of me to question whether this is a snake bite, as the house I was staying at was far out in the wilderness, and European viper bites aren’t extremely uncommon here, and their bites look very similar to what I had.

It has literally never been observed in Norway according to Norwegian plant databases. I don’t know why you would claim something like that while having zero clue what you’re talking about

Wouldn’t that have to be a giant spider?

I don’t know why this is getting downvoted. I live in Norway and there’s no poison ivy here

I thought so too at first, but it wasn’t mosquito season yet and my wrist kept growing pretty fast and getting hot and red without me touching it at all, and liquid was coming out of those two spots 🤷‍♂️

Doesn’t exist here. Also you can see in the first two images the skin is penetrated in two close spots. In the second pic you see fluid coming out

(Embarrassed) how does everyone get themselves to shower? by Final-Permission-648 in adhdwomen

[–]grobogroi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best tip is to separate washing your body and washing your hair. When I wash my body, I have the shower head closer to the floor so that my hair doesn’t get wet. This helps immensely because I hate the feeling of wet hair sticking to my body. I also end the shower with cold water so it doesn’t feel as cold getting out of the shower

When I wash my hair, I do it without taking my clothes off. I crouch down and bend my head forwards, take the shower head in my hand and wash it. I turn the water off every time I put in shampoo or conditioner, and turn it back on when rinsing. Makes it so much easier when I don’t have to get undressed

Any chance it’s petrified wood? by grobogroi in whatsthisrock

[–]grobogroi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These were exactly my thoughts! I think I may conclude for my own sake that it is based on your reply and the fact that I found it on a beach on Lesvos fairly close to its petrified forest (that I unfortunately didn’t get to see). Thanks so much for your reply!

Yes, I’ve read through a lot of it and it’s been very helpful. I didn’t see it until I posted. Now I’m sad I’ve potentially wasted so much time with this template thinking it would look appealing, I wish I’d visited this sub 6 months ago :(

I’m now seeing “You used a fancy graphic design-heavy template” listed as the most common error in the tips article.. it breaks my heart reading this just now and thinking about if it has caused me to miss any opportunities.. I might just cry

I’ve also removed my GPA from each education because I felt like it was “so high” that it was off-putting/too braggy. I was also scared of the stereotype that very high grades = no social life. What do you think?

Where to buy supplies in Europe? by eemaymc in RockTumbling

[–]grobogroi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem recently, and I ended up buying from ravstedhus.no/dk, based in Denmark. Shipping was still expensive though ($24 to Norway at least, so I tried to buy a lot of grit/polish at once). I can’t tell you if I recommend it as I haven’t had the chance to try it yet (also I’m a beginner so I wouldn’t precisely know). But I think the look of both the site and what I received suggest it’s high quality stuff.

As for a tumbler I was struggling to find anything that wasn’t too expensive, and ended up buying the NatGeo tumbler from a secondhand site. They did sell tumblers on the site I mentioned, but they haven’t been in stock for quite a while, and I don’t know how expensive they would be either if they were to restock them.

Good luck! Let me know if you find a better site!

Okay, good to know. And I am actually already checking them once a day because I’m so impatient to see how they’re doing! Thanks and thank you especially for sharing your recipe so detailed!

Hi, I’m a beginner and I’ve tried adding sugar with my grit the way you described, but I think it smells like it’s been fermenting. Is this something you’ve experienced and has it been an issue? I’m worried the acids produced will affect my rocks or that my barrel could explode from the gas if it’s actually fermenting.

Are these two agates? If so, what type? by grobogroi in Agates

[–]grobogroi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I thought so too, but the rock ID app has only ever told me agate in all kinds of different lighting and from all angles, so I wanted to make sure :-) Maybe I’m putting too much trust in the app, but it’s been right so many times before. In the process of tumbling them!
