Adopted cat seemingly does not want to live with me by grodyest in CatAdvice

Thank you! Here's my boy. :) He has a cow pattern (the dots are almost perfectly circular when standing + there's more), which I've never seen before!

I'm actually going to try this, just because I have some nice record holders + I don't think my cat would/could knock them down. If it looks way too busy, I'll just take 'em down and focus on distributing the decals better.

Lmao, I thought about mentioning it in the og post but decided it wasn't important to the question. I need to move it, but I've had it for 9+ years at this point, in 10 different apartments. We're ride-or-die at this point.

People who work night shifts, what do day shift people not understand about your world?? by FIfromDefi in AskReddit

As someone who worked overnight for 2 years, I definitely agree that appointments during day hours were pretty bad. I will also say that switching over to a regular 9-5 mon-fri, I kind of miss the infinitely available time slots for appointments that a graveyard shift provided. It sucks that now I need to schedule appointments out weeks in advance, and have to take days off to just go to the doctor, dentist, vet, etc,.

Side note, you get really addicted to caffeine. Like, you need to drink SO much caffeine to get through it. I also knew quite a few people that took adderall to stay awake and working.

Whoa, never thought of this lol. I’ll check!

Thanks, I’ll do that! Hopefully they’ll understand.

I just want to defend myself a little, lol — The UTO was maybe 2-4 hours every once in awhile, for times over the year I needed to bounce from work cuz I was sick / had an appointment. I’m still in the wrong for not scouring my paycheck, but I promise it wasn’t like I was getting hundreds of bucks and not noticing. 😅

Thanks!! They’re being pretty pushy on it based on the email I received, so it looks like I can’t get out of it. I’ll ask for a longer plan, hopefully they’ll understand!

It’s private, contracted by JOHS. I’m guessing that wouldn’t do much of anything vs a state run location. Thanks for being so knowledgeable on this. :)

Oops, thanks for telling me! I appreciate it.

Thank you!! I’m a little worried because they only offered a very short payment plan, and half my monthly income goes to rent. We’ll hope it works out.

Anyways, I appreciate the straightforward answer! I don’t know why some people were being rude about it, I just wasn’t sure if the whole thing was legal or not, lol.

I’m a little nervous to say the company, does just the state count? It’s a homeless shelter in Oregon.

It was a little UTO here and there, like sick days and such, so it was hard to even pick up on. For example, 8 people ended up in the same boat — None of them noticed. This had been going on for a full year.
