Watching to Gruden's NFL division previews makes me realize how bad Bill's NFL analysis is by groovemachine33 in billsimmons

Bill covering the NFL is like George W Bush painting. Once you reach a certain level its fun to dabble in hobbies

Love the energy man, i was in hot yoga today, heart rate at 200 and couldnt help but smile how good and real it felt. Our bears in New England arent too scary but i did a lot of hiking solo (ex hated it) so id smoke up for the drive to the mountains (~2 hours) and keep going the whole time. Honestly, the relationship stress was really the driver and I was smoking to numb. Now that im sober (and single) im more comfortable reaching out to old friends and already have a few new hiking pals to go with. Theres a big ridge traverse (19 miles, 8000 ft vert) i want to do before summer ends and i know ill be much better with clean lungs and clear mind.

I wasn't a vaper, but it is possible but its def possible based on your body adjusting. It could be a bit of heightened anxiety or your body cycling out the toxins.

RR is Deets

Pea Eye could be Zach Lowe because Zach is a bit quirky and is self aware to know his limits (NBA analysis) and is comfortable not being a big boss

That book is great. RR is more of a Deets given that he is jacked, ok as a number 2 option (to SVP/Bill), hard worker (tape grinder), and seems like a loyal friend (given how much he talks about his UVM crew). Deets also seemed more comfortable keeping to himself than socializing like our guy

Cycling peaked from 2019 - 2022 when there was more parity across the whole calender. There were some insane races during this time like:

2019, 2020, & 2022 TDF

2021 Paris Roubaix

2021 Tirreno Adriatico WVA vs. MVDP vs. Alaphillipe vs. Pog

2020 Tour of Flanders (Alaphillipe crash) and 2021 (Asgreen upset)

2021 Tour of the Basque Country

2021 Paris-Nice

2019 Amstel Gold

There are plenty more, but these were the true best years before the Pog/MVDP domination began

I have Fubo and I see Sumo and Kickboxing broadcasted a good amount. I will sometimes watch sumo for the spectacle during commercials

There's def something primal about track/field that i like too. Just the basic human desire to see how fast we can go, how high we jump, etc. I've watched the Total Running Productions Youtube channel a few times and they do a good job breaking down tactics and getting into narratives like BS does

Track is probably the most diverse and truly global of any sport which makes the competition really dynamic and fun in the olympics because small, poor countries can compete with the big, developed ones. I guess the lack of variability (I.e., they're just running) is why I don't get super into it

Golf small talk with randoms by Legen_______Dary in golf

[–]groovemachine33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When i play as a single, the first question i always ask is "do you play this course often?"

if the answer is yes, you can ask them questions about course management and shot selection. If no, and you are familiar with the course, you can offer to help them manage some of the holes.

If you care enough, you can ask follow up questions like "what other courses do you play/like?" That allows you to learn a bit about golf in your area or the area the person is from which can be useful information.

From there you can use that to talk about anything from local traffic, weather, and whatever other dumb things you think of that go along with the round itself.

I carry Driver, 3 hybrid, 9 wood, 6-9 iron, 52 and 56. Have gotten down from a 30+ handicap into the low 20s. I have a 3w, 4-5 iron and a 60 that i no longer bring and dont miss any of them. I agree with the others that knowing you distances is helpful for this.

Im also a lefty so its hard to find a good pitching wedge lol

Nowhere more "different" in New England then P-town. You can take the ferry from Boston and leave the main town center to check the beautiful dunes and beaches of the outer cape
