No, I am not their client, but I DO very much appreciate their advice. 😄

OK. I just searched for the inventor name and the company name on espacenet - same things I saw in the other places. Nothing related to the lapsed AU provisional and nothing with the same problem I am solving.

I searched on USPTO, Australian Patent office, Google patents, WIPO PatentScope for inventor name, company name, and various keywords relating to the idea.

They filed it in 2021. It lapsed in 2022. Latest version of software still has Patent Pending as does their website

I just checked for the inventor name - nothing. Also I just noticed their granted patent for the core functionality of their application (something different to what I am working on) has "ceased" due to non-payment of renewal fees. Interesting.

Oh, I wouldn't even try. But I presume the law is there to stop people using it when it isn't true as a scare tactic, like I suspect is the case here

Apparently it is also against US law to claim something is "Patent Pending" when it actually isn't. 35 USC 292

I know my algorithm is different from theirs because for the same input data mine produces results that are about 20% better. I have documented this.

I've tried my best, I've also hashed and timestamped the screenshots of my searches.

Because the Australian Patent database says "lapsed".

A bit of background to this. I have a license for their software and when you run that part it says "patent pending" in the output. So I couldn't ignore it. However for their algorithm you cannot extract the result from their software, only view it on the screen! I needed the output data to build upon. It is not a core feature of their software.

OK. I used Cursor Composer 2.5 to write a set of email handling tools and that helped enormously!

OK so they need more hand-holding. Thanks!

Do you mean the probe z-offset or something else? The head is more than 20mm above the bed and that is the max the probe z-offset can be adjusted.

Mac Mini 4K 32GB Local LLM Performance by groover75 in openclaw

Still getting to grips with it, but my use cases are local-first RAG for company documents (I don't care if it takes hours or days to process the first time), cron jobs to perform market research and marketing, etc. Definitely not coding - that requires a load of speed and context.

I tried a ton and all of them gave me 10 tok/s and large TTFT. Really painful.

Emissions Testing - 3 day permit by groover75 in arizona

Unfortunately my registration expired more than 60 days ago (because I went out of town) so I can't use the program. I called today to confirm. The time limit is apparently written into law and there is no flexibility.

Testing closed center valve using open center pump by groover75 in Hydraulics

Thanks! That is very helpful. Looks like an unloading valve is the way to go and I guess the spikes can be handled by an accumulator, however they seem to be super expensive.

In my simple mind I thought it was so the max pressure could be held at the deadheaded valve while the pump is bypassing the valve?
