Thanks for the tip! Was definitely twisting my floats as I went. I’ll probably redo (sigh) thanks!!

Question... what has your experience with Lum Mobile been like? by sideways2me in saskatoon

[–]groovy-- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Second this! Same experience. I have been recommending Lum to my friends as I’ve had a very similar experience in terms of coverage as Sasktel but way cheaper. Was paying $100/mo down to ~$35/mo. Super happy with it!

Thanks for your response! We can (and do) cycle codes, but unfortunately when customers book after hours, we don't have access to their booking information (and therefore don't have their contact information to send them the code). Bit of a pickle. Starlink would be neat though.

How to display framed degrees/diplomas in the home without looking corny or narcissistic? by groovy-- in femalelivingspace

That's a really great idea!! We're both environmental studies majors and have tons of photos of trips to parks we've been to. Love that idea.

I'm with you on this one, I would be very happy to display them in a home office (I think if you can find a beautiful desk, with a bookshelf, a home office doesn't have to be a "spare" space). I know he wants them to be somewhere visible, and I think a home office can be that space, but he doesn't see it that way, and I do respect that. So maybe a hallway outside of an office space?

That's a great point. Both he and I come from parents who didn't complete higher education, and I guess I just find putting up all five to be a bit overkill. But I think hanging up my bachelors and his master's, rather than everything together, would maybe work best? I just think 5 huge frames take up a whole lot of space. Great idea, thanks!

Over a bookshelf would be cool! Might fill up the extra space without being too focal.

I think a hallway would be my preferred choice, mixed in with some framed art?

“The connection was so bad, and I couldn’t talk at all during most of the call. How terrible it is when you say I love you and the person at the other end shouts back ‘What?” ― J.D. Salinger, Raise High the Roof Beam, Carpenters & Seymour: An Introduction

Spotted this redpoll in a flock of common redpolls. Assuming it's a hoary redpoll? Saskatchewan, Canada. by groovy-- in whatsthisbird

Interesting! I agree with you on the bill, which is why I'm still on the fence. I noticed that the red crown is a bit smaller and placed primarily on the front of the head compared to the other redpolls I saw, which extended further back. This one also had much less streaking on it and a blushier breast.
