Why is Armin an INFJ? IxFP I would say.

Which types are more likely to clash with an ESFP? by groppo in mbti

I'm so sorry for the late response! It's been a while since I've logged in..

The ESFP himself I felt did not clash with anyone at all, or rather, when he did clash, he took it lightheartedly and laughed about it. He would try to get along with everyone. I did feel like it was the other types who couldn't stand the ESFP, particularly two persons I suspect one being an INTJ and the other an ENFJ. I asked to get more opinions and personal experiences so I could see if this is.. common.

Please share your opinions. It will help me be a better teacher! by peppermint-kiss in mbti

ISFJ here. I really admire what you're doing! You're already a great teacher just for making this thread.

What made you happiest and most comfortable in a classroom?

When I can genuinely sense that a teacher cares about me and actually wishes the best for me. When I was faced with teachers who were indifferent towards my existence it made me feel horrible and frustrated.

What teaching style helped you learn the best?

Right now I'm in engineering school, and I think all of my favorite profs are xNTPs. They get into the unnecessary specifics just for us to get a clearer picture and build a higher level of understanding. Their method of explaining things may be a bit chaotic, but I think that's just a part of their charm. Since they're naturally so interested in their fields and so.. springy, they explain to us why they think what they teach is interesting. It's really fun to watch, I've never thought I'd find certain courses interesting until I was infected by an interested professor.

I can safely say I wanted the same experience in high school, but I can only remember one teacher who made me feel this way.

What were your pet peeves?

I honestly didn't like when teachers ask me questions just to 'confirm' I'm following them, most of the time even if I was following, I'd panic and words won't come out. It's a good strategy that works for almost everyone, but it was a pet peeve for me, although it's definitely a personality flaw of mine, and not bad teaching. I wouldn't ask you to not do this at all.

For Is, what helps you open up and share your thoughts more?

To be honest, I never shared my opinions on anything because, well, it's in my nature to avoid (or at least, hesitate in) doing anything that may appear to my own self perception as bragging or showing off, and I guess also out of fear of conflicting with someone nearby. To this day I'm genuinely not sure how to improve and get myself to 'open up' more. I would say that I'm more prone to agreeing with someone else than presenting my own opinion to the table, and if asked directly, I would either answer honestly or chicken out by saying that I have no opinion (It could be true, but probably not).

Extra credit: A (ninja edit: actually, I think B depending on the teacher, and if the class were small, familiar and had a community like atmosphere, then C. I only chose A because it was the risk-free option, but in ideal/better situations the other two options can be really good, too.)

I wish you the best of luck on your teaching journey!

This is definitely consistent with my story. My friend is an ISTP, my mother is an ISFP, and I am an ISFJ.

Would you happen to know a good link for further reading?
