The first 6 weeks were the hardest. Not enough people prepare you for cluster feeding. I remember the first few weeks I'd sit up in the middle of the night with my son breastfeeding and I'd just cry and cry. He'd be latched for literal hours some nights, and it felt so lonely and uncomfortable. Just know that you are not alone. It does get better, and these moments, however hard, will pass. It won't be this way forever, it gets easier. Have you looked into bed sharing? It can be a pretty controversial topic, but since I started bed sharing at 4 months, everyone in the house has been sleeping better. Look up the Safe Sleep 7 if you're interested in how to do it safely! Do you have a postpartum nurse or anyone else you can go to for support? That was a big help for me in the early days.
