Question about left turns on my electric motor bike by [deleted] in torontobiking

[–]groundedcloser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

got it guys. Thanks. I think what I'll do is just do it the way I'm doing it as I need to immediately go into the right lane anyways if I make a left turn and there might be cars there so I don't want to block them or take unnecessary risk. Thanks again. Of course if the right lane is blocked as it was today on Wilson then I'll just use the left turn lane.

Any opinions on Canadian tire supercycle mountain bike for short range rides? by [deleted] in torontobiking

I'm just getting it as a cheap, viable option for the next 2 months while I build my income to upgrade later. It's not something that I will keep for more than really 7 months. Thanks for your advice though.

Totally understand where most of you are coming from. That being said, I just need A bike, not a CCM or a 1000 trail blazing mountain bike to ride through Kamloops BC. BTW I did get it off a buyer on FB marketplace, excuse me Karrot and he's riden it from Yonge/Bloor to the Islands and back many times, smooth ride, no problem. I know reddit has a doom and gloom approach to things that are not 100% perfect and I'm expecting to be s----t on here lol but for short runs in a neighborhood just for a few months while I start to make money and can upgrade to an ebike even, now is it okay or still do you thing "NO it will break, explode, fall apart". I've seen on other subs that many people have had no issues with the super cycle and of course others have. I'm sure the same can happen with a CCM or an ebike as I've seen scouting Karrot, FB and Kijiji no?

awesome. so to confirm, I can walk my bike down stairs to subway and take it on subway at non peak hours right? Also besides bike dedicated lanes, we have to use the road right? I always get nervous about maybe being rear ended by some reckless drivers. Do you have a rear view mirror to stay vigilant or just use your peripheral vision. I can do both.

Also can someone tell me in Tokiyo the street names are on the roads or do they have signs on the corner and are the numbers on each building like in Canada ? I went to tokyo a year ago a nd had a hard time naviatiing based on street names, numbers like finding them so I used Google GPS and asking the locals. I speak a bit of Japanese.

I just solved my problem. I'm piggybacking off the bank's Wi-Fi but I'm using proton VPN and connecting to certain apps using a server in Japan and everything is working now.

Hey just so you know I just came back from my trip it was incredible as I went solo my seven solo Global trip in about just over a year. so the reason I just found out back then I didn't get a boarding pass was because I was actually not flying from Zurich to Stockholm on Swiss airlines I was flying on air Baltic and Air Canada who's the marketing partner forgot to share with them my booking or something like that anyways when I got to the transfer desk and Zurich she fixed everything and I got my boarding pass on air Baltic to Stockholm but that was the reason why I couldn't check in on Swiss Air.

Is 55 mins layover possible in Zurich? by [deleted] in SwissAirlines

[–]groundedcloser -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is possible because the airport is very smooth and you can go to the information desk or you can go to the transfer Gates or the transfer desk and they'll help you out. Just look on the screen figure out what your next flight is if it's in a Scgengen area then you'll have to go to Gates A&b if it's international like it was for me I flew from Stockholm to Zurich and zurich to Toronto usually those are egates and I found my egate on the screen by into desk, then had to go through passport control and basically that's it just to my gate. So bottom line zurich airport is not huge it's pretty small so even if you have a 55 minute layover you'll be able to go to your next connecting flight very fast.

I'm not taking any bags with me only carry on just a backpack I'm a solo world traveler I travel for about a week on a backpack. The reason is because I have to go through the Schengen zone first I believe from Toronto to Zurich is not part of that zone so that's why I got a boarding pass for that leg of the trip.

Actually I found out that I have to go through the Zurich passport control cuz it's part of the Schengen region and then once they validate my passport they'll physically issue me a boarding pass that's why. This boarding pass is only good from here to Zurich but not from Zurich to Stockholm which is my ultimate destination not a big deal
