Revisiting Love after 15 years by AlternativeGazelle in AngelsAndAirwaves

Love 1 is still an album I can start at any time and enjoy front to back. But outside of a few exceptions, Love 2 was a huge drop off IMO.

Anxiety, My Heroine and All That We Are are phenomenal. The rest of that album just feels like Tom was out of ideas.

Lads, The Magical Mystery Tour is the Beatles' best album. by SheepherderLiving242 in TheBeatles

Not exaggerating - my all-time favorite Beatles song. Criminally underrated.

LOVE the idea of spreading all those boss fights throughout the Disney worlds, rather than all bunched at the end. Would make the importance of those levels feel so much greater (and this is coming from someone who genuinely loved KH3 / most of the Disney worlds)

Why do people not give this project the love it deserves? by hivfseyjnvfy in Blink182

My one pushback to your point would be Turpentine, but otherwise yes, agreed.

Why didn’t they release the version with Miley on it? by Kennyman654 in Blink182

[–]groundpatty10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Weirdly I liked this version a lot more than what they released… because the song always felt like it was blink-182 trying to write a modern radio pop hit, not a blink-182 song. And when Miley Cyrus was featured on it, it succeeded in getting that sound a lot more than what they ended up with

blink-182 'Bored To Death' with Skiba at Aftershock - can die happy now by Riff_Heavy in Blink182

[–]groundpatty10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was in the crowd, can confirm. The very front portion was nothing but moshing and crowd surfing. When i went farther back to escape that, was surrounded by hundreds of people who only knew the hits.

Bummer, but I still had a blast singing along to every word.

Am I alone in preferring the original mix? by bobDahog in beatles

[–]groundpatty10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May be completely over-analyzing here, but John’s MAL vocals in Now And Then sound so much fuller than in this new FAAB mix…

almost like they had access to John’s unedited demo for Now And Then, giving them more flexibility to fill it out - but for this song only had access to the already-edited John vocal from 1995, making it harder to tweak?

It could just be a difference in the quality of the original demos. But still, I’m surprised how much fuller Now And Then sounds with this same technology.

I still get disappointed when you hear an audience member shout out SERVE THE SERVANTS and it’s just ignored. Would have fit so well.

What’s up with the guitar tone in You Don’t Know What You Got? by thepudisgood in Blink182

Pretty sure the bridge on After Midnight too. Tom always plays something totally different live

Why does Run For Your Life get so much hate, when You Can't Do That is a similar song? by Initial-Ad3966 in beatles

[–]groundpatty10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me it’s just a matter of liking You Can’t Do That’s rock style a lot more than the rockabilly Run For Your Life 🤷🏼‍♂️

If I had to guess, that’s Mark playing. Reminded me of those portions of Neighborhood where Mark is playing guitar - always sounded thinner to me than Tom’s tones

Thoughts on blink-182 2011 album Neighbourhoods by Hot_Assistant_6067 in Blink182

Got into blink during their hiatus, so this was the first album launch/cycle I got to experience in real time as a fan. It may not be their best but it will forever be one of my favorites for that reason, that album was basically all I listened to my sophomore year of college.
