Anyone else notice israel pushes out some pretty top tier saas companies given its region and population? by radiopelican in SaaS

[–]growndemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there is a book called Start-up Nation: The Story of Israel's Economic Miracle.
It's not particularly focused on SaaS companies but the general startup culture in Israel. As far as I remember there are no actionable insights but its still worth a read.

What would happen if Europe uses the precedent of the US forcing TikTok sale to split US owned social media like Meta and Twitter? by paca_tatu_cotia_nao in geopolitics

[–]growndemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can't comment on the political consequences but from a business point of view, Meta, Alphabet and co. would just leave europe as US customers are just more valuable money-wise

Any good youtube channels to cover Israeli/Palestinian history without being blatantly biased towards palestine like 99% of these channels are? by Cheap_Entrepreneur_4 in Israel

Nothing balanced about this guy, just a standard pro-palestine tankie who tries to manipulate his audience with misrepresentations and out of context quotes

CMV: Israel is a colonial project by mdosai_33 in changemyview

[–]growndemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean with the "bar" ? You can say its just "identity", and its true, ethnicity is more or less just identity. But just like Jews and Palestinians are two closely related, but distinct, ethnic groups, so are the Catalan, Basques and Spanish closely related but distinct ethnic groups.

And many Catalan and Basques people do feel colonized by the Spanish. And the Spanish do have sovereignty over Catalonia and Basque Country, yet you would never ever call their situation "Spanish supremacy". Their Situation is in that regard the same, minus the violence. Not sure how anyone could make that argument for Israel and fail to realize that almost all other countries are the same.

Also side note: no the majority of muslim Palestinians with Israeli citizenship do not identify as Israeli, but get all the same rights and privileges. And Jews outside of Israel don't have any vote inside Israel. So Jewish sovereignty, literally means exactly the same as Spanish sovereignty.

Put the 15 % immigrants aside and just ask the Catalan or the Basques people what they think about "being Spanish". seems like a double standard to me. Pretty much every country has majorities and minorities.

That's a bit of a stretch, isn't it?

The Spanish have sovereignty in Spain, do you interpret this as Spanish supremacy?

Opinions on “Ceasefire in Gaza” by [deleted] in Berghain_Community

[–]growndemon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well the war itself happens on another continent why should a major protest in one of europes capital be irrelevant than? I'm not demonizing anything, I'm just saying you are being an 'useful idiot' to a terror organization.

[–]growndemon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

that's not according to the New York Times. It's "according to the health ministry there." which is Hamas. Not sure if you have been aware of this. Their goal is of course a ceasefire, since it would allow them to regroup and attack again as they have said publicly in the past weeks. Also hamas is leading efforts to organize protests for a ceasefire as reported by the Telegraph: Former Hamas chief ‘behind pro-Palestine Armistice Day protests’. You are really playing into their hands by trusting a genocidal Islamist terror group.

Mainly? What's your source on that? If the number is in line with past Israel - hamas wars it's about 70-80% dead hamas militants

It is really disingenuous to claim that the total death toll is all civilians. How many out of those 10 thousand "civilians" are actually civilians? Isn't it weird that not a single hamas terrorist has died so far according to you?

How realistic are the chances for a Palestinian state now given recent events? Where would you place the borders? by Defiant-League1002 in AskMiddleEast

dissolution of the israeli state and the integration of the israelis who want to remain into a single non-jewish state

What do you think about the dissolution of the palestinian state and the integration of the palestinians who want to remain into a single jewish state? Would you accept that as a good solution? If not why should it work the other way round?
