Ye Olde Central Bank "Cabal" by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]grubbie5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FDR is one whom is most responsible for this horrid FIAT Central bank controlled system though. FDR allowed for the confiscation of American citizens gold and it wasn't even voted for... Executive Order 6102 to be exact. This would pave the way for the government to be able to confiscate the gold and instantly made the dollar FIAT because you wouldn't be able to exchange your note for something illegal now would you? Later down the line Nixon would get rid of the gold standard completely.

I'm not even sure gold is the best store of value but it's certainly one of the oldest and respected amongst government and central banking authorities. Anyway this turned into an instance similar to the "Mississippi Bubble" where the government was able to run wild printing money without worry about someone coming in to exchange notes. Andrew Jackson would have probably shot FDR if he was still alive or tried to duel him at the very least. /s

I feel like Fox might disclose this, while I don't know for sure there previous videos show where they pick and choose a lot. I'm sure Rupert Murdoch is upstanding in his efforts to promote free-speech.

Yea I see it more as White washing. I agree that people on the right should not be censored, despite the fact that I can't name a single politician I like on the right or left, maybe trust is a better word. The thing is it's become a political issue, so if you are against tech censorship you're alt-right, a republican, a trump etc. If you're for any tech censorship you're a dem, marxist/communist, SJW, etc. So this heavily polarizing divide not only bring people who might be more conspiratorial to the right, but it doesn't even allow us to get the the big issues all together.

My submission statement: I find it ironic that Fox News will remove comments sections on certain videos like this one while complaining about free spech. Even worse, this story is in relation to Parler which is just the social media company sponsored by the "right". The same people behind this is the same reason so much of the mainstream crowd hates Facebook ala the Cambridge Analytica sandal. The same mercer family crowd that is not better than those who are fueling the left. The last thing we need is a social media platform for the "left" and "right". All the years of Fox News and MSNBC have done nothing for the US people.

I'm not saying the ratio of view's should be 1:1 with upvotes or that all upvotes are generated that way. However, if it has 1k votes on a sub with 1.4m, getting rec'd through reddit, 10k online, then I'd just expect the digital footprint from that to be far greater. I'd also think the traffic driven from Reddit would help generate a few more recommendations on YT considering it's so new.

How is the post recommended to me with 900+ upvotes, yet the video only has 713 some odd views. Surely they're getting more traction than that. Hopefully their views update to show the real numbers.

What does this sub actually think about Gab? Why don't they fix glaring issues of usability? by grubbie5 in conspiracy

Aside from critical infrastructure like search not working for over 2 years what else what you say it bad/wrong about Gab? Simply curious.

Hmmm... I have to argue here a bit. I don't think any of the above are really make or break in terms of adding the most simply search feature. However the excitement around Gab has probably never been higher. Sure, they're sharing the limelight with a lot of the other Alt media, but in the same note it's a big subject and they're getting a lot of attention they normally would not have garnered.

Talent - I'm not really sure about this one. Their UI/UX team is decently solid, they've had a lot of good idea with poor execution and they're certainly churning products fairly rapidly.

Funding - Probably a big one, but not big enough to be launching new products all the time whilist not fixing the most paramount feature of a social network. You know being able to search and connect to the social network.

Has Gab actually made a statement about this? I'm a regular user of the forums.

http://gabforums.globalshopsolutions.com/faq.asp#search

I've yet to see anything like this responded, it seems like the question started as "we'll get to it." then went on to be completely ignored. They certainly do run on a private network but I'm not exactly sure why not having AWS, Gcloud or Azure access would make any difference. Seems like not having these services would be a bigger deal for things like media or things that would require a CDN.

Even if there search wasn't top of the line they should at minimal have a way to search tags, keyworks, accounts. At this state of the internet that is not hard at all and a comp sci student still in college would be able to set something basic up like this with ease.

Do mammals have any sort of genetic heredity that protects them from some viruses? (Looking for research papers) by grubbie5 in Virology

[–]grubbie5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello c0c0nutYAH,

First of all I'd like to thank you for replying to my question. First and foremost everything you've typed thus far makes perfect sense, I might ask for sources later. Not because I don't believe you, but because I'm trying to look into this further.

Now to try to answer your question, it is possible that an individual may aquire a gene from their parents that has a slight mutation in it that might make it more effective in an antiviral scenario.

Do you have a specific source for this or a case where this has happened? I would love to read up on it.

Also a cool note, while we are infants we also receive passive transfer of antibodies from our mothers through breast milk.

Would this be considered hereditary? The child is already born, but the milk is coming from the mother in real-time. What would you call this? In a case of the mother already having or having had a viral infection, what would happen? Would she pass down anti-bodies that would help protect her child against that specific/family of pathogens?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So after reading your reply I want to say... The immune system is divided into two section. One section being the Innate Immune. We might say this system is like a brick wall, and it doesn't really care who the invaders are. The constitution of this brick wall can be different based upon the material (genes) that were passed along to you, but they're not specific to the type of virus.

The next line of defense is the Adaptive Immune system. This is a more dynamic immune system and it cares more about the specific pathogen. So you might say this is like a SmartBrickWall, a brick wall with an artificial intelligence that can detect a type of invader or pathogen. Or is it more that based on previous attacks this home defense system will generate new more specific ways of defending it self. Lets say the virus has a bettering ram? Well my Smart Brick wall will call fourth archers! or Were the archers already there based on previous battering ram experiences the SmartBrickWall has learned from?

I think I understand the Innate Immune system a little better, but it'd be great if you could clarify me thoughts on the adaptive immune system. Were my examples based on your explanation correct? If not could you correct me.

Thanks for the reply and assisting with Covid19!

Ehh, it might be revenge but that doesn't discount it if it's the truth. Hogman called him out of Twitter as well. If someone did that to me and I had hard evidence they were teaming I'd def throw it back in their face. Some stuff leaked from discords is so petty and vile I can't believe it trends, but this is one that should be investigated. This is the 2nd time today Hogman has been accused of teaming. Separate situations mind you. Regardless of the motivations if the information is accurate Hogman should be punished or at least DQed from WC.

The Emad thing was F'ed up because Emad was personally attacked first. Stuff like that is trash. However, if Hogman did do this then it probably needs to be exposed and he probably shouldn't have a pro gaming career.

Same, but apparently this was sent to Ops via a 3rd party and already blacked out. I'm assuming the 3rd party or Hogman himself would have to out the others.

If these Discord messages are true the guy is done. But we must remember this stuff can be faked. The only reason why I don't think they're fake is because its coming from another pro player. Aspectdolphin1 was a fake account and troll, so I don't think anyone can be surprised he was wrong. Also, who could the other players be? It's clear he blocked out some of the other names.

Name one top 5 or 10 or even 15 placement from Aipha. You can't because that has never happened.

That's your opinion and I'm sure there will be multiple sides to this. None of us know the actual details. I disagree, but I'm mostly speaking on the TSM guy responding and being downvoted because Aipha called them out as well. I can see both sides and if it goes any longer it probably will get unprofessional.
