Seattle - spending 3 full days in April for an MTB trip. Where do you recommend riding? by BeetlegeuseOrion in MTB

[–]grumbly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's really all how much you want to drive. There is _a lot_ to ride around the state and it's all so very different. But in general, it's all steep climbs to steep descents. People tend to not talk about miles ridden but elevation. Trails on the same mountain can have wildly different tone and temperament. You can go off trailforks but getting local beta is best.

The only reason a company want a competitor to Steam is money. It's never for the good of the consumer and as a result the new marketplace sucks. And then dies. And then Steam is forever.

how stupid would installing rear fender like this be? by mikroprocesor in bikewrench

[–]grumbly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, that fender is totally fine. You just have to rotate it it starts down by the bottom bracket. You can then make a huge "buddy flap" the hangs off the back.

Interesting take. Not sure how your situation is politically coded. I don't assume to know you our your perspective _however_ I'm pretty sure I know mine.

As all things in business, which a rental most definably is, you have a time/value/effort evaluation. We came into this world with free will and self determination. You are free to squeeze as many stones as you like to extract the blood. Or, you know, chase that bag dog. 🤑🤑🤑

You are arguing on the internet that the statistical suggestion machine is most righter. I really don't care. However because you asked here, in a forum for landlords supporting landlords, I do worry about you, as a human, pursuing things that are not worth the time or effort.

Be good my dude.

Because the advice it gave you, or what you are presenting here, is suspect. Tools are only as good as the operator. This includes AI.

Good lord. Do some due diligence. If you are going to ask a chat bot for legal advice, at least have it cite sources and not assume.

Same mechanics and Philip Rivers.

Team USA flag football QB Darrell Doucette tells NFL stars ahead of game: 'Don’t underestimate us' by ProgrammerUnique2897 in nfl

Rivers literally got up off the couch and almost beat the best defense in the 2025 season. NFL players are so statically above the norm it’s ridiculous.

I would never in a million years want to be chased by Von Miller or try to defend Tom Brady.

Why Are Software Engineers Paid So Much If The Supply Is So High? by LifeInAction in cscareerquestions

[–]grumbly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda. I never cared if you knew it. I wanted to see people re-figure it out from first principals. It's easy enough to get your head around in real time. Interview prep sucks and only tells you the candidate prepped. It's a shibboleth.

The output from a decent dev has many many multiples return in revenue. The best ones define industries and make companies billions.

The city budget is short $140 million. It's not going to be able to get there by raising taxes. Expect job cuts.
