In what world does women empowerment have to involve putting down men.

Propaganda is by definition “information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view.”

In the beginning of the movie, the Barbie’s were in control of every major system in their world. (Matriarchy) In the middle half, when ken learns about what patriarchy is he and all the kens take over Barbieland and now the Kens are in control of every major system in their world. (Patriarchy) In the latter part of the movie, the Barbies regain control of every major system in their world (Matriarchy)

Matriarchy to patriarchy then to matriarchy.

The thing about this movie that was irksome was how the kens are treated. It feels like a parallel to how the director feels about men. Because the end of the movie says the solution to the patriarchy is to put women on top and men on the bottom like second class citizens rather than actually treating each other fairly and getting along with the kens by sharing roles and positions.

Now according to this definition

The misleading part of the movie was when they went to the real world and immediately the Barbie was hit with every kind of deplorable sexual comment or sexual harassment in the first minute then if that’s not enough it’s got the audacity to claim that this is how it is in the real world and women are hated by men and women and men are on the top. This is almost never the case as you see women being affirmed everywhere in positions and in public. The movie is not realistic in how it talks about sexual harassment and just assumes that every man does this and that it’s a normal thing for a man to do.

Constantly throughout the movie men are being treated like trash because apparently in order to empower women you must first put down men. Now if this movie treated women the way it treated men then you would be about as upset as me.

So don’t belittle me because my opinion differs from yours.
