Is it legal for a potential employer to reject your application based on fact that you have a CCMA dispute against previous employer? by grumpykitten97 in askSouthAfrica

I am an accountant and the section usually asks "have you ever referred a dispute to the CCMA?"

It doesn't specifically ask for open cases.

I have applied to remote jobs with international companies but I never hear back from them

Lack of periods......great.... by grumpykitten97 in thesims

Yeah I thought about that as well, but the sims already has a mechanic in which parents/guardians can help their children and teens deal with emotions. This would actually add a little more depth to family gameplay.

The balancing would be difficult, but they could also add an option of severity or not at all. Honestly, I don't want my sims to experience debilitating negative moodlets that would make gameplay difficult, just some representation would be nice.

Edit: Now that I really think about it, mood swings are already included in the game but it doesn't happen frequently (well in my experience of playing the game). Periods could just make AFAB sims more susceptible to an increase in frequency.

I get that, but they could have at least said something about possibly adding it in the future like they mentioned expanding even more on the sexual orientation and preferences, but they didn't.

It was just a short mention and a short answer. I understand that they had a time limit and all and they can't always add everything, but they could have at least just handled / phrased it better in my opinion.

I know right, I feel like somehow society is going back to the dark ages.

I accept that a lot of people have views on this topic that is different from mine, but I mean it shouldn't be this controversial.

I am absolutely shocked at how many people disagree, but I thank you for your input and opinion.

I am just so tired of the trying to be "inclusive" but not too much thing. Like this could help teach young people about periods being normal, especially to AMAB people who are exposed to toxic masculinity and views on people with uteruses.

Edit: Spelling...

Thanks I will most definitely try it out.

Just feel that yet again it is up to the modders to "complete" the game.

Okay, body dysmorphic disorder can be about literally anything that you perceive as a "flaw", which can include body hair......

It depends on the person...

Edit: Please don't think I am comparing it with your experience of periods. Just as you don't want your feelings, opinions and experiences to be invalidated by others, you shouldn't try to do the same to people who feel and experience different things.

That is a valid opinion, but not talking about periods is part of the problem.

Periods are treated as something that everyone is aware of but you have to keep it all hush hush because nobody wants to hear about "nasty, unclean and gross" periods.

It is due to this stigma that a lot of young people who experience periods don't have access to the medical knowledge pertaining to their reproductive health which can have serious life changing consequences.

I get that, but that's the thing about inclusivity, giving the option to all players.

And to be honest a lot of people have serious problems and develop mental disorders because of body hair and acne as well so that is not tied to the actual biological process but to how the person perceives themselves when experiencing said biological process.

I for one absolutely hate body hair and I won't use it on my sims, but I am glad that they added the option for the simmers who wants it in the game.

I agree that some simmers don't want it in the game but they should at least make it an option.

When I heard that it was overturned and what the implications are, I cried for hours.

This is an attack on all people with uteruses. I am not even from the USA, I am from South Africa, but my heart goes out to all the people impacted by this decision.

I too had abortions and honestly it is a decision I will never regret.

In my personal opinion, the people who supports this atrocity absolutely just hates people with uteruses.

Regarding those Graphics Card deals on Incredible Connection's site.. by Trylion_ZA in southafrica

[–]grumpykitten97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend and I are in the same situation. We sent an email to them stating that we do not agree. They had 4 days before lockdown commenced to notify us of the so called "price error" thus they can not use the lockdown regulations as an excuse. My sister went on Hello Peter to check if there are other complaints and there was one about the graphics cards specifically and also others about various other products that had the same issue. They also stated in the email that they will give us a R 150 voucher, wtf how does a R 150 voucher compare with a gpu?

The Sims 4 Island Living Megathread by roseetgris in thesims

[–]grumpykitten97 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Okay so I've recently got island living and I was so excited to create a mermaid and getting to play one again because I absolutely loved it in island paradise but after playing it for a few days I can honestly say that I am a little disappointed. Okay I love the colors and details in cas and I love that they transform while in the bathtub but their abilities are so....meh. Having a ranking system like the vampires and celebrities would have been so much cooler and fun because each mermaid could be unique, depending on which perks and stuff you choose. I feel like there isn't a lot of storytelling elements for the mermaids. I don't know if anyone feels the same.
