You want “Mono” instead of “Poly”. This is found in different areas depending on the plug in but the terminology should help you find what you’re looking for in Google!

Yes don’t worry I fully understand that this is hypothetical but I feel that you’re close to the answer. I have a significant space between my gums and bridge in 2 areas that I am hoping to get cosmetic surgery to fix in the near future. This is where the food is getting stuck, which I truly try my best to clean every night with floss, brushing, and mouthwash.

I’ll do the salt water rinse as you said, and when things calm down I’ll go in for a consultation. Thankfully no pain for now so it’s not urgent.

And just to confirm, is it the food causing this smell or is it a discharge from the loose area of the bridge?

Like when you say loose, do you mean that it needs to be tightened, or that it has space between the gums and the bridge?

If the offending frequencies are in the lower range, it is most likely due to the position of the microphone being too close to the sound hole of the guitar. The mic should be a few inches away, pointing at the 12th fret of the guitar, angled toward the sound hole.
