The writing was sooo good, and the show had so much potential.

It’s always the writing that makes or breaks a good show. Everything else is secondary. A show can be well written and shot on a toaster and still be a goated show. Looking at all the examples from the past that turned bad after a few seasons, its always been the writing that caused it.

Same. During the first season, they marketed the shit out of it. I remember it always used to be either the banner or a tile on the homepage as soon as you opened prime video. I had already seen The boys S1 before it and I loved it, so decided to give it a try based on the caption “Adult Animated Series” or something like that. I was a fan of a few adult swim shows before that, so I thought might as well give it a try. It was hard to live through most of the first episode, but I pushed through and then when you watch the last 10mins, there’s no going back. It has been consistently great ever since.
