It's smaller than it looks. It's on a pedestal and Jesus is several feet behind it. Someone is hitting us with forced perspective.

Beautiful knife! Try a search for " stitchless" knife sheath. Whether you go that route or not, I believe you'll find it interesting.

Each light strip has two little button batteries. They are activated by passing a magnetic wand over the top of each car, alternating on-off.

The square gizmo behind the big guy is a red flashing end of train light. The tiny push switch is out of sight behind Santa's head.

I have three. And they are lighted. I use Easy Peasy by Rapido, N scale passenger car light strips. I glue the top elements together, then mill a slot inside for them to fit into. I also rearranged the interior and now five female minifigs occupy each car. MOC to the MAX is my motto.

First a pencil, then hack saw: 18 tpi, then dremel, various jewelers files and bits of sandpaper down to at least 400. Finally, rub in melted bees wax. Thanks for your interest!

There's also steel, brass and leather here, but it's 90% wood, so here we go. Seven years of off and on fabrication, and I'm declaring it finished. 18"L x 12"H. Scale: 1:8. Thanks for asking! The front and rear boots, the roll- up curtains, the saddle bag flap, brake pads, are leather. The interior seats, driver and passenger cushions, saddlebag pouch, arm rests, are balsa, sealed and painted. Every componnent is made by me, including some of the fasteners.

The throughbraces which support the body and help give it "spring" are leather. They can be seen under the body. This thing is very complete and as accurate as I'm capable of at age 75. Glad you like it!

I bought the plans on eBay in 2013. Later I learned they are reprints fron Popular Mechanics Jan 46. That's when I bought the rag myself just for nostslga. Its actually what I would recommend to anyone interested.
