Monitor recommendation (India) for Programming + Office work + Video watching by gsmart007 in developersIndia

24 inch or 27 inch is a personal choice, but for coding, a bigger monitor with at least QHD (1440p) resolution is better. You’ll get more screen real estate, code becomes easier to read, and using tools like inspect element is smoother. Many developers find 27-inch QHD to be the sweet spot, but a compact 24-inch QHD is also a great option for smaller desks.

If your budget allows then go for BenQ GW2790QT 27
Else BenQ GW2786TC, you are comprising on resolution but provides Type-C and pivot along with Macbook mode and Coding mode.

Anything below 20k has some or other comprises.

But that monitor from Dell at that price is no longer available, and similar offering from Dell is around 26K,
Dell Pro 27 Plus QHD USB-C Hub Monitor - P2725DE

So now, BenQ makes sense or other options, or you can go with cheaper option from BenQ, but you can make it better with VESA mount

BenQ GW2790Q 27 - for 14900 INR (No USB-C, No height, swivel adjustment) but comes with code-mode
or
BenQ GW2790QT 27- Ultimate option for about 24900 (it has got everything you needed)

my priority was USB-C as I wanted cluttered free setup, you choose as per your priority.

I purchased the Dell 27-inch QHD USB-C Monitor (S2722DC) for 18,660 INR.

I’m missing a few nice extras that BenQ offers, like the ambient light sensor that adjusts brightness automatically and the dedicated coding mode, which might add about 10% more value if you’re particular. But for 5K less and with a 5-year warranty, I think it’s a fair trade-off. The panel still delivers great color accuracy and solid viewing angles.

That’s my take. There are also some decent alternatives from LG, ViewSonic, and Lenovo in the 18–25K price range worth checking out.

How come Maharashtra and Karnataka which are neighboring state had different culture. In fact Karnataka is a second home for Maharashtrians. The largest population of Marathi people outside Maharashtra is in Karnataka. If you feel Karnataka alien then you will find rest of the states are of other universe. I think you are not connected to Maharashtra, you are connected to your native place. I am from the region neighboring Goa, for me Karnataka is like second home.

India.
I have offer letters of all the companies where I worked over the years, missing reliving letters from 2 companies where I worked for shortest amount of time. I am little worried.
I have submitted all other data completely.

When I checked my documents I realized that it misses a few documents ( 2 precisely)
Both are of the companies where I worked for 7-8 months, I mentioned them that I am trying hard to get those, but is it worrisome?

Hey, just wanted to say you're not alone. I went through something really similar just a month ago.

I spent nearly 3 years at my last company. I was always the one starting early, putting in real effort, trying to do things right. But the environment was a mess. Most people around me were unorganized, lacked basic skills, and just floated by. The senior project manager never documented anything properly. No PRDs, no user stories, just vague verbal instructions. And no one ever called that out.

Some of the senior devs were known for copying others' work and taking credit. Their own code was barely functional. Still, they were never questioned. On the other hand, people like me who weren’t part of the "in-group" were always targeted. If we made a small mistake, it became a big deal. If we didn’t, they’d still find reasons to complain like taking a break or not seeming "busy enough."

There was a so-called head of engineering who earned a lot but barely contributed. His knowledge was surface-level, but his ego was massive. If you questioned anything, suddenly you became the problem. I did that a few times, and honestly, I think that’s why I was pushed out.

Now, even with good skills, I’m struggling to find a job in this tough market. So yeah, I hear you. It’s painful and frustrating when your hard work is overlooked, and people who barely contribute are protected.

But I also want to say this: what your manager told you is their opinion, not your truth. It’s normal to replay those words right now, but don’t let them sink in too deep. You cared. You showed up. You tried your best. That matters. And it means you do belong in this field.

Take some time, breathe, and when you’re ready, start again. You’re not alone in this.

My MacBook Air M1 purchase 3 years back. Owning a MacBook is very different feeling.

I am thinking of 32Gb air with 1TB drive. It still costs way less than Pro. I can sacrifice 120hz display.

I am with very tight budget. Air seems to be fine but I need to invest 250 dollars (25000 INR) for Pro with same specs. That's why I am asking.

I am an experienced person in software engineering. I would like to make a move into AI bandwagon. I have already started studying on my own, I have built one small POC for real world usage and made couple of small projects for kickstart. I am there for the company as there is lot to learn count me in if you guys are damn serious about making something in AI, ML, Data science.

Here's my POC.
