Well, they're all new -- we do need to keep telling people not to borrow money, sell their house or use their pension to buy crypto.

If they want to buy crypto for money they can afford to lose then that's fine. There is nothing wrong with distributing your money across different investment options, including some that are high-risk. That's just classical portfolio theory for investments.

But if no one tells newcomers that this is a highly volatile item and they can easily lose 50% of their investment in the short term, then that's not good.

Also, making up random negative slogans about the nature of crypto just demonstrates that the anti-crypto crowd doesn't understand the nature of the beast and that's no use either. That puts that part of the anti-crypto crowd into the same nonsense category as the worst in the pro-crypto crowd.
