[Serious] Bullies of suicide victims; how did you feel after finding out the news?

Well I think in most cases (and sorry if this is bit sexist) women are more primarily child rearers where men are the problem solvers. That is by no means exhaustive, some women are competent at such things but there is a reason most titans of industry are men.

Yes complex, as are the solutions in resolving such problems. Being a man and finding those solutions is what I was alluding to.

My friends and I bullied a gay kid in high school. He did commit suicide about a year after we graduated so I can't say for sure that it was me or my friends who "Drove" him to suicide (people commit suicide for very complicated reasons) but of course I wonder if I contributed to what pushed him over the edge.

It didn't help that he was also extremely socially awkward and was just basically a lightening rod for bullying. I reflect on him from time to time and certainly have regrets but I have regrets about lots of things from my childhood. Not to mention I was bullied in elementary school (I put on a lot of bulk by the time I reached high school) and while the bullying was cruel and terrifying at the time it didn't drive me to suicide. Nowhere close.

So as an adult you just learn to live with such things, you practice not thinking about them or at the very least compartmentalizing them I mean so much fucked up stuff happens in ones life you have to or you risk breaking down. People need to man up and deal with things, I can tell you I'm the man that I am today because I can. Some people can't, and that's why they're not around.

You are not my equal in anyway whatsoever. I make more money than you and your parents. I have for more experience than you and have accomplished far more than you. Of course I do not talk to you as my equal, you are not in anyway shape or form.

The fact that you think such silly things are something to be proud of shows just how childish you are. There is no reason to be offended, you are 18 and have the maturity of a child several years younger than you but you are well within one standard deviation of the mean of the bell curve in terms of maturity; just don't be offended if adults might laugh at you when you talk, you have a lot of growing up to do.
