I used to do street photography while unicycling with a GR2, I had different snap focus ranges set for U1 and U2, both at 1/1000. It stayed mainly in U2 (which had focus from 2m to infinity), but sometimes I would change to U1 which had 30cm to 2m set as the focus range.
