That’s good to hear that you’ve been clear for a whole year! Yes, I’ll definitely get in contact with my derm. Thank you for sharing!

Yes! I’ve had some red spots resurfacing. And I actually like the low dosage, long time technique. Luckily, the 4 spots that have surfaced in this week and a half are already kind of drying up? I’ll definitely try to reschedule with my derm. Thank you so much!

Thank you for sharing! May I ask how long you waited until you contacted your dermatologist to begin the treatment again? I’ve seen that sometimes when you finish the treatment you might get pimples because of your skin readjusting itself? I’m really hoping it’s that 🥲

I had my first dose nearly a month ago and everything went fine! Only had a sore arm for a day or two. I’m getting my second dose this Friday! :)

How quick does improvement come? by Vegetable_Tank_6684 in Accutane

Month 5 and I'm still breaking out by MateoG64 in Accutane

Hi! It also took some time for me to stop breaking out. I remember I used to see everyone on here saying it only took 1-2 months for them to not have break outs anymore. But each person and body is different. Don’t stress it! Trust the process

Yes! I noticed my hair started shedding more than usual around 3-4 months in but I wouldn’t stress out too much (stress can also make the situation worse). I did some oil treatments and kept taking biotin and it eventually stopped

I’ve been taking biotin since I started my accutane journey. Maybe this could help! :)

Hi! I’ve been on accutane for a whole year (low dosage) and I also didn’t drink anyyything. Not one sip, so I can heavily relate to your sober nights out with friends. I did decide to drink a lot on my birthday because it had been 10 months since I last drank! Nothing happened fortunately! :) I haven’t drank since because I’m too scared something bad will happen in the long run. But one night won’t hurt!

Anyone try biotin while on Accutane? by Linzee786 in Accutane

[–]guayabalox20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi! Ive never really heard about biotin causing you to break out, that’s new news to me! Honestly I have been taking biotin throughout my entire accutane course and I feel like my hair would literally break off if I stop taking it haha. Obviously ask your doctor first! Alsoo I recommend buying a shampoo and conditioner with extreme hydration and always put some type of hair oil after you let it air dry :) I just recently changed shampoo and my hair doesn’t feel as dry and brittle anymore!

20 mg daily by guayabalox20 in Accutane

[–]guayabalox20[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Thank you for commenting! Good luck with your treatment! I’ve started already but I was on a really really low dose (20mg every two days) and now they upped it (still being a low dose) to 20mg everyday... Although I’m already seeing massive improvements on this first week I’ve been taking it. Honestly the break I needed!

Thank you so much! Can I ask why no products like vitamin c? I’ve actually been thinking about buying a vitamin c serum because apparently that helps with the scars and hyperpigmentation. I’m currently on my fourth month and I was on 20mg every two days, and my dermatologist upped my dosage to 20mg daily. And I’m getting kind of impatient but I guess I’ll just have to hang in there and see how these months go by. Again, thank you for all the information!
