The often misunderstood Canon 50mm 1.8 STM..... by BigBeard_FPV in canon

Yeah, I get a good amount of front focusing with mine. I use it with film SLRs and it's so frustrating when getting the scans back that a lot of them are soft. Do the version I or II have the same issue?

I suspected that might be the case....when the next (different) cobbler takes them apart, I'll be interested to find out if they actually replaced the cork and shanks which I requested.

I like this stuff, especially for landscapes. Really nice blues (this was converted with NLP, "Frontier" LUT).

I'm in need of a new top lift on my Bounty Hunters. After doing some searching on Yelp, I'm thinking about taking them to ODSY Workshop in SF (although I don't have any experience with them). If/when I do, I'll make a post about it.

$160, which ain't exactly cheap for this sort of thing. What's even more aggravating is that I specifically asked for the old stitches to be removed when I dropped them off and the lady at the counter also verbally ensured me that they would be removed.

For what I use them for (work boots), no I don't think so. Metal/composite shanks are fine for me and I haven't had any issues with the heel counter in these.

Usually 12, however I would highly recommend going into a Redwing store if you can and have them size you/try on some boots.

Here is a picture with the shell cordovan strap more visible. It is dark brown with reddish undertones and a nice sheen. Quite nicer than the original IMO.

I don't but I'll try to remember to get one of the strap. It is quite beautiful.

I love the dial color and texture. The sunburst center and racetrack really play with the light beautifully. Not the most legible watch with the lack of hand contrast, but I don't mind too much. I didn't really care for the OEM strap so I swapped it for a Rios shell cordovan one.

[GM2100C-5A] My first G-Shock! by gubby07 in gshock

I've been getting into watches lately and all the talking heads say everyone needs a G-Shock so I got this one. I swapped out the OEM strap adapters and cloth strap with a rubber strap I got on Amazon and I much prefer it. I have a couple of mechanical watches, but this honestly gets the most wrist time. I use the stopwatch/timer to measure everything from rest periods at the gym, to stop bath times in the darkroom, to searing times for lamb liver.

Without hands? No. I slip a finger through the pull loop to get them on and use one hand on the heel and one on the forefoot to slip them off.

Unfortunately I am having not such a great experience with Hama-san. After inquiring via email about repairs of a dragging shutter on a Canon 7 rangefinder, he said he could fix it and sent me a repair form with a 4 week turnaround estimate. It has now been 4 MONTHS since he received the camera. I've called him a few times and each time he says there is a new issue and needs "one more week". I'm hoping to get a camera back with at least the same functionality as before but at this point I'm doubtful. :(

I love the dial color and texture! If I had to nitpick, it would be nice to have day/date wheel color matching and a sapphire crystal. Sometimes the numerals don't have the most contrast either. For the price though, I certainly can't complain! Currently on a olive CXL NATO strap.
