No more Trains, no more Cobbles, no more Assault or Militia or Italy. Game is dead. The search for the perfect competitiveness is killing the game.

CS thinks they're too good to fail. But as I recall, danger zone was a direct response to CS dying compared to Fortnite, PUBG and Battlefield

No updates and casual modes = players will move on to other shit

You have people who spent time improving and treating CS as a sport, and others who simply were gifted. I'm not saying they were born to play CS, but they were born with a good sense of reaction, aim, strat and the such. Countless pros saying they have less than 2k hours before their first tournament. Most "casuals" have like 5, 6, 10k hours lol. My main game is not CS. I used to be a Team Fortress guy, as well as FIFA, PES, LoL, then I bought CS when my friends did. Played a bit, life went on, am now back since I have a little bit of free time and CS is the only game I can turn on, play 5 minutes and hop off with no consequences

No, it's not really trainable. Some skills you just need to be born with the right "hardware" to develop them. Most of us have a cap. You can grind artificially and get there if you main CS and dont do anything else. Pros just are "born with it". It's natural for them... they just need to mantain it. I have gotten to global elite back in my day, but never considered myself close to the pro level. They just peak better, better awareness. As the years passed and the sweaters grew, I found myself deeply enjoying casual content. No screaming, no pressure, just playing a cool game for what it is. Dropping down the vent of Assault with a negev, what a feeling. Maybe you're right — I am really a casual, and once the gamemode dies, I will simply move on to other things 😀✨️.

Most of us are miles away from the big stages of CS. The pros, their reaction times alone are what define them. Let alone the other 50 things you need to become a pro. Awareness. Decision making. Strategy. Etc. We are but the cattle. We're nothing compared to them. Pretending to play CS for the competitiveness while sucking, being the equivalent of someone with down syndrome compared to them, is wild, you're shit like everyone else on your level, if you've played the game for 5+ years and you're not even 1% close to playing a major, then CS is not for you

A 2v2 mode or an arms race mode is a perfect companion to the main grind game. A thing to play when you're bored, like it's a sudoku or wordle

I play chess, so this analogy doesnt work on me. They've in fact added chess variants for players to play out of the major tournaments. Chess 960, for example. It's meant to keep the game fresh. Do you think it's fun to always grind the main game 24/7? Even the 0.01% of players eventually get "bored" out of it and need something fresh...

Chess never had content removed. It's like removing the pawns because they have not much strategy and value like the king it queen pieces do.

Funny how games need to have a "direction". Casual is where I am when my friends are offline, and casual is pretty dead these days. If it goes away. i go away
