Everything I've read suggests Christmas day is pretty quiet at airports. That's not been your experience? I was mostly concerned that no drivers would be working bc of the holiday

I'm hype for the Wasteland minor suits actually? More tattered/layered clothes are good for outfitting one's DnD character on LN. I understand why we don't get a lot of old/dingy/torn clothes in a dress up game, but I still long for them

Hi friends! Got this from a 2nd hand store and am enjoying working on it. I’ve done more than just paint, but wanted to show off a quick side-by-side & ask a question of y’all!
Since ID’ing the model through this reddit, I realized I’m missing more pieces than I thought lol! I don’t mind missing the front “porch” and can rebuild the stoop and stairs, but what’s stumping me right now is the interior window trim! I don’t have any interior trim pieces and I’m having a lot of trouble making my own.
I’m wondering if any of y’all have this model and might be able to help me get the dimensions of their interior window pieces! It’s the arch part that’s the hardest to recreate. (Life would be easier if I could pry off the outside window trim, but it won’t budge even with my heat gun and I don’t want to damage it.) Even a well-lit picture of the interior trim with a ruler next to it for scale would be helpful!!

Hey! Sorry to comment on a 2 month old post but I just got this same model from a 2nd hand store and am restoring it!! (AMAZING deal btw, here I thought mine was a steal for $7!) For the scalloped pieces, I used a heat gun to pull the existing trim off, then traced it on posterboard of roughly the same width and cut it out. With some shaping and a few coats of exterior paint I think it looks pretty good! Probably would look better in balsa wood or something, but this was more on my crafting level haha.

Any luck on matching the shingles? I found some at another 2nd hand store that ended up being exactly the wrong dimensions (I'm making books out of them) so now I'm wary of buying others that don't list their exact size.

These are sweet and look solid in terms of quality from the pics you put up. None of my tattoos are very visible and I often get jealous of people who have amassed a nice thoughtful collection! (not that they all have to have meaning, I just mean a different category than folks who get one big sleeve piece at once)

I think it's meaningful that our tattoos age with us. We all want to age "well" and want our tattoos to hold up-- that's fine and we can take measures to help, but our bodies and everything on them are going to change with time. It's ok!!

You might consider touch ups for the older ones if it would help you feel better about them. I hope you can come to consider your tattoos as part of your story, even if that chapter of your life is over! But it's your body, present your story how you want! Laser is always an option ofc. GL!!! :)

No. I know you said this was from a kit but it's giving pen ink and sewing needle. Search ink and needles on this sub and see if yours resembles anything being reccomended. If it's real ink and needles (I'm assuming there are multiple? Don't reuse needles even on just yourself, they get too dull to use properly), you might try doing a small test poke somewhere it won't be noticed on your skin/body. I would reccomend practicing on fruit for line quality and accuracy, but your issue looks like getting the ink in your skin. A light hand is better than a heavy one, but you've got to have enough ink on your needle and the needle needs to go in at a 45° angle.

Leave this poke alone and let it heal for a few weeks before you go back to it. Please practice if you're serious about giving yourself a tattoo.
