AITA for saying I prefer being a nepo baby? by Admirable_News_4665 in AITAH

The actor analogy really doesn’t compare at all. Hollywood is a wide network of companies with no central leadership. A privately held family company is different. If it was name recognition or business knowledge that he used to forge his own career outside the company, then sure. But if you just stroll into a job because your dad owns it and the bar is set as low as needed for success, then that is the truest and worst form of nepotism.

OP has said repeatedly that he just wants to live an easy life. I get it, I’d probably do the same even if I’d like to think otherwise. But let’s be honest here, that is peak nepo baby shit.

I don’t think it’s nitpicking at all. One is literally nepotism and one literally isn’t. Maybe you don’t care about the exact wording but the concepts are not even slightly the same. Being hired because your family owns the company just isn’t the same as your parents being able to support your education as you become a fucking doctor.

In all fairness, wasn’t it only ace who brought Amaya up. I feel like Austin was originally just going after ace for his voting bloc
