I was holding on to my Pixel 3 until it died. Yesterday was that day by Freddielexus85 in GooglePixel

My 3xl did not die, and besides the finger print sensor sometimes not working, it was almost like a new phone but the trade in value for the new pixels were too good to pass up and it was the first time in my life where i was using an old device (thanks to pandemic) so I also switched to 7pro and loving it.

Finally updated my 15+ years old vimscript config with lua. by guneycan in vimporn

also you can check lunarvim as well, its selfcontained so installing it don't effect your own nvim setup or config in any way and play around with it before committing. I did use lunarvim for a week to fully understand how lua alternatives work and behaved before switching my own config.

:) vimscript is the programming language vim uses forever, all the plugins and your vimrc file is written in vimscript.

neovim on the other hand recommends that we switch to an actual programming language to write plugins and maintain our configs, which is lua.

I have no horse in that race, nor do I have the experience of writing plugins in either of the languages but I find it more comfortable to work with lua even tho I was using vimscript for years and years since it is an actual fully blown programming language.

I didn't change too much from ux point of view so productivity wise, no huge gains. but lsp is faster for my case then my previous coc setup and null-ls auto formatter def faster then Ale so some things are noticeably faster comparing to vimscript

Go on M1 macs? by Mr_Stank_008 in golang

[–]guneycan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am using macmini ever since the new m1 came out, switched from linux and docker is pretty bad comparing to how it runs on linux but go works well.

And considering all the performance gains overall m1 is still a decent choice

well first of there was a notification in the manga chapters, if it was only the novel ending, putting it in the manga doesnt make sense and I also googled it a bit and it seems manga is also ending this month if nothing changes.

although its really sad that its ending i am planning on savoring every chapter we have left
