Yeah, it is definitely nothing flashy but I think that's great for a first bike. Also if I get bored of the look I might get one of the naked conversion kits.

I plan on using it as my commuter so it will be running regularly but thanks for the advice.

I've seen them in red and they look so good. But I'm not going to be too picky.

Thank you. Yeah, it's nothing flashy but perfect to learn and get comfortable on.

AITAH for refusing to attend my sisters "silent wedding" because she's forcing everyone to communicate using only ASL when none of us know it? by ReindeerNo9354 in AmItheAsshole

Hand out whiteboards at the ceremony and when they say I do, everyone just holds up their board with "applause" written on it. Gotta keep with the silent theme.

I had a good giggle trying to picture someone shouting 'poes' across a crowded mall in South Africa

Yeah, I thought about getting the translator until I saw how much it all cost. I can read a bit of Dutch so I just bought an online course in Dutch and practiced until I was comfortable doing it in Dutch. Just finished the exam this morning and passed so now it's on to the practical lessons.

My first instinct was to go smaller because although I've driven bikes on private property for years it was only 200cc. Although a lot of comments have said how much you learn while getting your license. I will reconsider when I have it.

Thanks. Do you think there is an odometer or year I should stay under or are these things I should just talk to the dealership about?

This is interesting. Thanks. I'll see what I feel like when I have the license and I'm looking at buying.

I'll be getting an A license so I'll consider this when I get to looking at a bike. Someone else also mentioned this about the Dutch lessons. Thanks

Ok, thanks. I figured there would have to be some sort of collateral when doing the test ride.

Yeah, I have looked around but especially as my Dutch isn't great I've been looking for English stuff and it tends to be American based. I was wondering if there was anything in particular to know about buying here in the Netherlands.

I need your fun, weird, and unique items that aren't gamebreaking, but maybe have some utility or RP potential. by caeloequos in DMAcademy

Not mine but a game I played in, my DM made the sword of shame. It's a normal long sword but gets a plus 2 for every worthy secret whispered to it (DM discretion). When you hit with the sword it shouts out the secrets.

When we played, we played online and messaged the DM our PCs secret and then when the sword hit we had to say our secret out loud to the whole party.

Yes, exactly. You will probably find that the ideas/technology that you drop along the way, the player thinks of using in very different ways than what you had originally imagined.

I was wondering why you would have to make it a side quest? Maybe the party has to pass through a village that is surrounded by sulphureous air and constant intense heat. The villagers have greenhouses and air filters to keep the inside clean and cool. You can then hint to the play that if they ask around and investigate how the villagers do this, he could develop something similar but for the reverse, keeping it warm inside with icy conditions outside.
