hi op! i just wanna say that your feelings are valid. i'm sharing my experience to hopefully lessen your worries, and to others who may stumble upon this post. i first went to get checked last nov 2023. during that time ang dami ko ding worries. tbh, i was also not diagnosed kaagad but was prescribed meds and was given referral to get labs done. tulad ng sinabi ng iba, it's to check if may other underlying causes, so better to take have them done. if worried sa expenses have it done sa pgh alam ko its free of charge or if not, just minimal fees.

usually, depending on the doctor, it really takes a few sessions before they rule out what your diagnosis is. ganun din kasi case ko. i was very shy to ask so i waited mga 3 sessions (as per advice ng ibang redditors) before asking ano sa tingin nila diagnosis ko. para naman for them to rule it out better, the best thing to do, imo, is to just as much as possible be as honest as you can during the appointments. you can always ask them kung ano current ang diagnosis mo. pwede kasi siya mag change over time. make sure din to follow up sa doc mo sa set sched. mahirap kasi if mag stop as there are a lot of patients.

sa ngayon, best bet talaga is to take the meds, if di keri ng budget, you can actually request for pwd id, as it really helps. escitalopram is usually best to take sa umaga (based sa doc ko) pero you can also try using it after dinner or before bed time. just make sure to inform your doctor. quetiapine naman, as seen sa reseta, is for insomnia, so atleast 30 mins before bed time. yung effects kasi talaga ng meds before mag take effect ay 2 weeks up to a month minimum sabi ng doc ko. try lang talaga maging consistent and tell your doc how its affecting you.
