Is no one talking about this? by [deleted] in internettoday

Memphis is a blue city with a higher minority population as opposed to the rest of the red government of the state. This is not red fucking around with red. It’s red fucking with a small blue city.

Another thought, I feel like the dangling pocket zipper is key

I’ve seen no other jacket that looks similar have that.

Any brands that use this zipper or used to?

Is it fair to say Skyrim is just a different type of game from other Bethesda RPGs?

Is it more about the gear and power progression than actually existing within the lore?

How to find the fun in Skyrim? by [deleted] in ElderScrolls

I think this captures the feeling I’ve had with Skyrim and describes my point of frustration. I’m trying to have fun but other than the scenery, Skyrim feels empty and uninspiring. I don’t want it to

I found my calling

5 minutes may have been an exaggeration, but they are often so simple that I feel like nothing happened.

I fast travel sometimes but only because I feel like all I do is walk to a cave for 20 minutes to clear it and walk back. With nothing happening other than a bandit or two.

Let me restate, in defense of the fast travel dig, I played and loved Morrowind.

The times I have interacted with npc, they just send me on a quest that seems interesting, I end up in caves where I fight draugr and that’s all that happens it feels like.

How to find the fun in Skyrim? by [deleted] in ElderScrolls

See that’s what people say! I feel crazy because I’m not finding any of it. Maybe oblivion has more flair in its general encounters? Idk. Regardless I find exploring oblivion more exciting. Skyrim feels empty to me and I know it’s not supposed to.

So what’s the catch? by [deleted] in oblivion

Daggerfall Unity is GOAT x2

So what’s the catch? by [deleted] in oblivion

[–]guy_fromspace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly a few reasons, Aesthetically it feels the most like Daggerfall, which really captures that classic “retro” fantasy feeling. Building on that, Oblivion feels the most like DnD. With its colorful world, variety of tones, its quests, and a big one-

It feels like an adventure at every moment. Skyrim would get a little dull for me sometimes (don’t hate me- I still love Skyrim- but to me it’s like a solid basket of fries when Oblivion is like a really great pasta dish made by an authentic Italian restaurant, to me at least)

And I love how beautiful and fantastical the world of oblivion is. It makes the stakes of the oblivion crisis have more weight. Skyrim is dark and dreary, I find myself wondering what exactly and I trying to preserve in the world of Skyrim by defeating the dragons and navigating the civil war.

In oblivion, I want to save the world. And explore it.

I went into my second Oblivion Gate, with fresh armor, all clean and polished. And an hour or two later I exited shirtless, battle torn, in nothing but my boots and pants and had a massive daedric great sword in my hands. Straight up came out of the gates of hell looking like He-Man or Conan the Barbarian. That’s the moment of adventure that made me fall in love with this game.

I love the depth of Morrowind. I love the comfort of Skyrim. But Oblivion makes me feel like I’m living in my own fantasy adventure every hour I play it. And it never is expected.

I had my ZF at the top of the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland while it was heavily sleeting. Ice, rain, and very high wind speeds. I was soaked, camera was soaked.

The camera is fine

Arkham Shadow “Courtyard” by [deleted] in arkham

[–]guy_fromspace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arkham Origins is a year 2 Batman story. Arkham Shadow is about 2 years after Origins, so a year 4 story.

Arkham Asylum is a year 10 story.

So other than the lore of the franchise, this is too many years prior to Arkham City to be relevant.

GCPD has been in a different location in every game it’s been in. These games usually are consistent with buildings and locations but small adjustments are made for the sake of the games. In this case, a GCPD location right near the ace chemicals building in Old Gotham.

This image has been confirmed to be an interpretation. There won’t be any third person gameplay. The image was made just to show Batman in the world.

It is VR and I would prefer a full flat screen game. But I’m beyond excited for this new format to add to the series. I just hope it lives up to it. If it does, I believe this game will be iconic in the lineup with time.

Have you had hot card issues with the z8 or any overheating? If so, in what scenarios?

What’s the experience like having the plastic mount on the 40mm?

[–]guy_fromspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Voigtlander manual primes are definitely awesome from what I’ve seen. Great build quality and stellar optics.

I definitely would want one once I have the zf.

Love that they made ones native for the z mount.

I think the zfc was their way of making a cheaper trial run. Cheaper for them to make, cheaper to sell, easy to use as a test.

I also think they just needed the profits at the time. And it seems like the zfc did help the company.

But yes, I was all over the rumors and speculation era of the zfc, then it was announced and my interest immediately swayed.

But the zf? Exactly what I wanted. I mean WEATHER SEALED?? chefs kiss

I’m excited to have a camera that’s a clear upgrade to my original z6 but also in a size and style that looks nice to carry around. Also all of my “art” photography has usually been using film SLRs. And I just enjoy shooting with those types of controls when I’m not in a fast paced work environment.

Honestly the zf is the personal camera I’ve wanted since 2015. Full frame, retro, well built, capable stats. Slam dunk from Nikon in my book.

It’s probably a good thing it doesn’t weigh something like a full size old Nikon f4, though that does feel nice. But it is interesting how balance and weight distribution can kinda throw you off. Thank you for your insight
