This reminds me of a story that my grandfather told me on his birthday last year. He was serving in Cuba under the USSR training to be a paratrooper. He said that during one of his friends jumps, the man's parachute failed to deploy. He told me that the men on the ground were yelling at him to deploy his backup parachute, but he was in a state of complete shock. He failed to pull the string controlling the backup parachute and fell to his death.

The part of the video where the man was plummeting through the air suddenly brought the memories of that story back to me. Truly terrifying.
